Bargain of the day
« on: 10 August 2007, 07:45:13 »

Got myself a 320L roof box yesterday from Makro, £39.99+VAT down from £100+

Well pleased, been keeping an eye out for a bit, but not wanted to pay the £150 odd they generally seem to cost.

They had about 6 left (on show) at the Chester Makro if anyone is interested.

Naah, just screw a pipe union in the bottom, run hose down into the engine bay and run the whole thing as an extra large header tank!

How do you get a Makro card? They seem to want your IR registration.

We've got one for our branch of the union and that isn't IR registered so there must be a way.

We do have a bank account for the branch though so that may be how our branch sec blagged one.
I think Mr McB has access to one so he may be able to enlighten you further.

I have one on behalf of my Scout Group.

Application was a bit of a bodge job really, as I had to print a letterhead on my home PC showing the Scout Association letterhead and naming myself as the person responsible and signed by me too....

Could not really work out the logic!!
