St Peter meets Pavarotti at the Pearly gates and takes him through to God and says.....

"Here's that Tenor I owe you"

the guy had a fantastic voice, i'm not an opera fan but some of his music was good......

Never forget in the 80's nessan dorma was used backing music for a Pirelli advert, it wasn't on many times but i have never forotten it, partly because of the music....

the world had stopped spinning, everyone was feeling the effect, this woman in a lamborghini with Pirelli tyres on it parked up in a cave, parked over a plated that was connected to the centre of the earth, dropped the clutch and got the world spinning.....been looking for it on you tube and the likes of for ages

My inbox is full of jokes, but I'll refrain from forwarding or repeating them.

Fair play to the guy - he brought Opera to the masses (certainly in this country) :y

I was never an Opera fan, but he raised my interest in it.  Anyone never been to an Opera, its worth a visit.  The last one I went to was in the open air Roman collusium in Verona, Italy, which really added to the atmosphere.
