Hi having a problem with the Bose system in a 2003 Vauxhall Omega Estate.
The system plays fine then the sound will just disappear but the CD continues to play.

Is this with the original head unit or the Alpine you replaced it with ?

Fault is with the original headunit, we only fitted the Alpine to get him sound again. Why is the Alpine going to overdrive the BOSE amplifier, we are using the remote turn on to power the amplifier on just like the factory headunit did.

The output levels of the Alpine do not match the input levels of the Bose

This is very well documented on ths forum, and even answered on the BOSE website

Take a few moments to have a read through some old posts

Already answered by Tunnie, (reply 13) who said NO.

Not much point in answering your questions if you are not going to read the replies is there   ::)

Most of the display functions are driven by the head unit -

No NCDCxxx stereo = very limited display info

As Dave DND already said, I've already answered that:

:) It's a NCDC 2013 unit. We replaced it with an Alpine to give him Bluetooth and iPod control. Another query is it possible to keep the fuel consumption reading etc now the factory unit has been removed ??

Thanks

1) Bad idea, that Alpine unit won't last with Bose speakers, loom and Amp. It will go bang very soon  :)

2) No.

actually computer functions can be retrofitted with a new stalk, mid, and some extra wiring iirc.
