Vice grip the make is. You can get them off Snap-On or you can get the proper tool.

I use mole grips, you can get hold of them and then wind the adjustment screw in to open them out further....

If you look at http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1162397695

there's a picture of the one's I use.

Machine Mart used to sell a pair, can't find them on their web site, but they're in the Autumn/Winter Cat.

Nah, too shiny, just like that old 'Izal' paper - remember it? also used as tracing paper!

Took the unusal cleaning method of smearing everything around until you could no longer see it, rather than actual cleaning

great stuff!

Just got the latest catalogue, seems to have been withdrawn.

I think Sealy sell them, don't know about Draper.

Where do you get them for 3.99?  Cromwell have them at £6.78.

Either way if they do the job on those clips its got to be worth it.

Can I second the idea of using Vise Grips to get the clips off. They made the job very easy, as you can leave them clipped on while getting the clip of the spigot.

Mole grips are fine but sometimes too big to get into those awkward places. I'm trying to replace my HBV just now and after 2 hours of cursing and gashed knuckles, made the trip to Halfrauds and paid the £14  >:(  for the right tool - makes life a lot easier -except now its raining and too dark to finish the job.

Time for a beer then.

Several different types here (Clic, Ear, Earless, Norma....).   Can anyone advise which are suitable for the GM type clips please?
Locking facility would be desirable.
