HID Bulbs
« on: 05 February 2009, 07:35:19 »

Had 2 sets of these from e-bay £30 a pair and each it one or both would not fire up when fitted. >:( >:(.

Had a check with vaux theres is £170 each :o :o. called LMF and  they have a set of Osram HID Ds2 4500k i think. Do you think these would be  better and  have more chance to work.

The e-bay ones have been sent back for refund.

Thanks

Steve.

Thats very strange!

Vauxhall sounds like muppets!

£170, is strangely the price of a new headlamp.....
RH xenon lamps from '00 9193420 £167.00 £150.30 £120.77

A D2s Bulb is  :

12V 35W xenon headlamp ISO D2S (each) 93169041 £102.00 £86.70 £59.10

Retail, trade, tradeclub +vat

Osram are likely to be better than ebay, but at what price?

Was a shame as had 2 sets and no good. The Osram ones are £60 a pair so not a bad price if they work. As soon as the old ones are back in they work and fire fine.

Glad you got it sorted out...where did you say you got the Osram,s from that now work fine,as mine are getting tired and for £60 might rob the piggie bank .

After having new Osram OME bulbs fitted on Firday and not sure if it just me but they seem to fire well and start of a very nice white but then the they seem to change to not so white . Have check the conections and all seem fine.

Don,t know if they need a beding in time to work there best  :question.

Can any one shed any light on this as it has been one thing after another with these HID bulbs.

Thanks

Steve
