CBT Re-booked
« on: 27 October 2008, 10:53:08 »

Some may remember i went for a CBT some months ago, but the instructor was not exactly a nice person, using appauling langauge on the slighest mistake.

Decided to have another go, re-booked it with another company in town.

Going this Friday :)

Good luck mate.

Is CBT a pass/fail thing?

When I did it, we just had a couple of hours in the classroom, looked at the bikes, rode around some cones in a carpark, and then went out on the road for a bit under supervision!

It was actually really good fun.. . :y

Yep thats it, but because there was 3 of us, he could only take 2 out at a time, he told me and this other guy (we were on the geared bikes) to come back another day.

Trouble was about 2/3 times out of the WHOLE day i let the clutch out too fast, and he would respond "don't fcking do that, i told you not to fcking do that from the start, bla bla bla" Never gave a compliment.

Day he told us to come back it was pissin it with rain, so i never bothered.

Some people are just not natural instructors. No patience. Reminds me of a gliding instructor I once had who used to start to rant every time anyone made a mistake. "it's only a rather aeroplane, for break's sake. just fly the rather thing!" Errrm. Isn't that what you're supposed to be teaching me?

Oh Tunnie! :o
.....I`m disgusted you had to put up with that; do please consider writing a formal letter of complaint to that foul-mouthed man`s employer.
How may other students must`ve suffered at the 'potty-mouth' of that buffoon! >:(

Good luck with the new CBT set-up; then soon, it`ll be happy bikin` all the way!  ;)

Good luck tunnie!  Don't give up either if it rains or is bad weather, I did mine in a downpour and still passed! (altho my instructor wasn't an arse like your last one!)

Today was nice  8-)

I would only ever be a fair weather biker, but i pay £80 a month for the privilage of parking my car on tarmac next to the station. Fuel bill is around £100 a month.

Bikes can park for free, and i would get 60mpg rather than 30.
