They do some Vx parts now to.....

Interestingly.....they are the UK Lemforder and Boge supplier so should be able to get wishbone bushs and wishbones.....would be interesting to find out how much they would be.

They are also the Uk distributor for the OEM plug lead supplier and Elring gaskets (who do the head gaskets etc)......and DIS packs to.....

Sorry....I have been trying to get a source of original parts for certain items (i.e. leads and wishbones bushes etc) other than Vx.....I often end up at eurocarparts as the distributor.....just not yet got round to trying to get any sense from them

They work on reg number of vehicle....tho be careful you dont get sold the wrong part!

They used to try to sell me the wrong aux belt for my merc everytime (it had a spate of chewing up the aux belt until prob was fixed) I soon caught on to asking for the biggest aux belt they had.

Iirc £15 ish from them or £40 from merc dealer

I have only dealt with their Branch in Oldbury West Midlands when I had a BMW a few years back and can only give them praise.....they saved me a fortune in the 7 years I had that car and never gave me a wrong or rubbish item,  although now they do supply parts for many more vehicles so perhaps their once excellent product knowlege is now being stretched a bit thin.  I wasnt aware they did Vauxhall parts but now I know they do I will give them another try.

On the subject of suspension bushes...does anyone know if you can get the bush for the steering idler as it grieves me to buy the whole item just for the bush

I'm not entirely sure....   and should I care??

BTW, it'll have to go a LONG LONG way to reach any kind of record for pointless thread length......

but it'll be fun trying !

Well theres good news and bad news........

Bad news..... i shelled out £17.50 odd at merc dealer for a piece of plastic that looks like the top off a bic pen....and if it didnt have two tiny electrical contacts would have been convinced the parts blokey just sold me a bit of his pen!

Good news....ive remembered summat......i know where it goes... :D When i bought the merc 5 years ago.....there was a piece of plastic trim missing from the front of the car......after buying a replacement bit of trim, when i went to fit it.....i discovered the trim wasnt actually missing it was hanging down loose behind the front valance part...hanging by the temp sensor wires.....so i just need to change it now  :y
