« on: 17 March 2010, 18:53:02 »

My apologies in covering old ground again but I did a search but couldn't find the thread I was looking for.
I want to replace the steering idler and am looking for suggestions as to the best all round supplier , MD if has to be.
Cheers

Due to the shite nature of many pattern ones, I'd stick to genuine.  I believe MDTM has a good ebay supplier though

Cheers lads , just waiting on P&P charges now.
Should have them for next week along with new Doughnut bushes and new Monroe rear shox to replace the year old shite from E bay that are banging like Charlie Watts . ;D

just make sure that it's the same langth as the one that comes off the car.

having different lengths on each side of the car has yet to be proved to improve the handling in any way.

there are three lengths by the way

Now that's an interesting fact there 2Woody ,never read that anywhere .
I'll measure up prior to ordering.
As a matter of interest would you know what the difference is between the shortest and longest and in your experience do suppliers keep a stock or do you get what they have ?
I'd have thought that any variation from the original would throw the tracking out.
Cheers
