Too much abbreviation
« on: 09 October 2015, 18:49:34 »

After Nicks abbreviation SPQR which left me bamboozled, is it just me or is there too much abbreviation nowadays. We soon shan't have sentences, but abbreviated lines of chat.
I have to admit, I don't understand half the abbreviations on here. I am sure I could cut my reading time by half, not sitting here trying to figure what half the things mean. :(

Oh dear....I must be getting old and senile.  :-[

Far too many TLA's - Three Letter Acroynms.

One of my old favs was PCMCIA - Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, but preferred People Cant Memorise Computer Industry Acronyms
