BT said they would deliver my modem kit yesterday, nothing has arrived yet ::)

Openreach bod booked here for Tuesday, not sure what they will actually do. Already a Openreach branded socket on the wall, not sure if previous owners had fibre though.
If you need the modem, OR engr will bring. You should receive the hub a few days before. As said, if HH5, that doesn't need the modem.

If no fibre has been fitted there before, OR engr still needs to rejumper in cabinet.

To clarify, the OR modem belongs to OR. No ISP will post you and OR modem, only OR supply them, and the engr will bring.

In tunnies case, its likely he'll get HH5, thus no OR modem required.

Install due Tuesday, no HH5 delivered yet. Suspect previous owners just had standard ASDL, no fibre.

Strange that nothing has arrived Tunnie - have you got an order ref you can track on line. Sounds like they are coming out and bringing everything with them.

OR will not supply a hub. OR will bring a modem with them if reqd, but not reqd in this case.

BT Retail send the hub

Not impressed so far, a multitude of reference/VOL/order numbers, hardly clear.

Sooo BT say:

Equipment ordered:
BT Home Hub 5
Dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked:
Tracking ref: FFxxxxxxxxxxGB
Delivery date:
Fri 14 Feb 2014

Royal Mail say:

Item FFxxxxxxxxxxGB arrived at Yorkshire Distribution Centre on the 2014-02-15 and we are currently processing it.

Be lucky for HH5 to arrive in time!

Also, I booked this around 4 weeks ago, this was the earliest slot they could do!

Amazon are sending emails saying stuff will be delayed due to the floods. Not surprising really.

RM's "signed for" tracking has got bad lately. One of my packages is still on its way to me, despite me signing for it on Wednesday :o

Hopefully there tomorrow. BT do not send out too far in advance, its supposed to be the usual JIT deliveries.

Coupled with the weather, just shows what a success BT Sport has been  :-X

I still wonder what percentage of BT's Sport's 'subscribers' are just people renewing their subscription, therefore getting BT Sport. As figures I've seen, show churn at normal rate, it's not increased.

That said, wonder if people are keeping Sky, but dropping sport as like Chris did and switching to BT Sport, but still keeping the Sky subscription.

As our TV numbers for subscription services are still going up.

I wasn't speaking about Sport. I have to listen to managers to hear Sport figures. Broadband figures, however,  :-X

Still no HH5 delivery, can't see it getting here in time really.

Would the Openreach bod have spare HH's?

Doubt it. An Openreach guy couldn't possibly carry every router that every ISP (that uses OR) uses  :-\

Not sure what OFCOM would have to say about that, as OR are supposed to be independent, and treating all ISPs the same.
