I'll leave it to others to describe, as some may think I have a vested interest.

Marks_DTM_Calib can do it in Nottingham - see http://theboy.omegaowners.com for prices.

I have read on here that it can lower the rpm when in 4th and locked.....

OK, my experieince is that the changes are smoother, eliminating the horrid 50mph clunk when TC locks, and has less 'slip' in the box...

But as I have a vested interest, wait for other opinions :y

a very noticable difference.

My dad has his 2.2 Auto updated, the Omega has a smooth box anyway, this makes it ultra smooth.

As mentioned 50mph surge is removed, change downs are MUCH smoother.

You have to watch the rev counter to watch the revs change.... its that smooth!

If you make the trip for the autobox update, a climate system upgrade is also good.

It makes the fans a lot less 'frantic'

Had mine done

Box changes more smoothly, and less often, especially on windy B roads

Car also feels faster & more responsive.

Highly recommended

Me & Mrs Jimbob both have meega's

When I booked it in, she was, what you doing that for, waste of time, wont make any difference,
She hadn't driven 1 mile after it had been done, and she wanted it done to hers!

I'll second tunnie's vote for the climate upgrade as well.

Makes the aircon a lot nicer, less aggressive & more effective  :y

Pity you or Mark aren't coming to the Jockular meet, i'd be up for that.

Climate and Gearbox. Already spoke to Jim about it, that's why i was a bit miffed at missing the lakes meet.  :-[

Maybe in the summer then when Jim gets the barbie out of storage.

It'd be worth it then, trust me.  :y

Is your car prefacelift or minifacelift?

eg have you got steering wheel audio controls?
