Got bloody cold just bypassing my leaking heater matrix with a bit of 15mm copper pipe. >:( >:( >:(

Now got to work out the best place to order new matrix from and sort out the 2 little "0" ring seal part #,s to order from local dealers in the morning. ;D

If weather improves in morning  ??? might have a look at what bits need butchering from dashboard to get old matrix out  :-\ as don,t fancy driving around with no heater any longer than absolutley necessary :(

Pooloo back together, no rattle, cam belts re tensioned, an old battered and chewed plastic idler pulley removed from the bottom of the cam belt cover ( ??? ) all pulleys checked, water pump fine, tensioners seem ok although they where near the end of their travel, guess it was the old idler, my synical mind working over time as to how that got there...
Took the sump bolts out to re seal it while the engines was up in the air and drive shaft out of the only  way to find two bolts won't come out because the the universal joint is in the way. Special tool needed to undo the drive shaft.  >:( rather useless vadge front wheel drive pile of.....

...and breath.

Bolt the bugger back up. Not "my" rather car.  :-X

See how the oil leak goes. Mean time it sounds sweet again, service complete.  :)

Got in just before 6pm, nice little package from Jimbob on the mat.

Soooo, couldn't put it off longer.  Bumper off, headlights out, break me its cold - bumper sprang against my finger, so cold, it hurt like hell.  Spent about 10m investigating the other failure item, hmmm, need to scrath my bonce on that, are review the schematics again.

Bring the headlights inside to the warm, remove all the 'furniture' on the headlights, pop 'em in the oven, strip them down, replace the adjusters, rebuild.  Will refit tomorrow I think, if I get home at a sensible time.

Job I wasn't looking forward too, not so bad once you get stuck in.

My mission on Sunday was to replace the factory xenon bulb which had gone on the omega. Had to remove the headlight and after about an hour and half managed to put it back in only 2 find my replacement bulb also didn't work so had to do it all again!!!

Also managed to start and run the Supra for a bit as it's been parked up for the massive winter we're having and fixed the wipers on the voyager. I thought I was outside so I might as well get them done whilst check the levels on all of them.

Been a while but needed doing.

Also managed to fit one of those black mesh grills which I have had sat in the utility room for about 6 years. I had to take the original grill off to get the headlight out so I though I might as well. Might get some new pics once I've given the car a bit of a clean.
