Royal oppsing Mail.

Already £12 down, and now can't get the little tinkers to answer the bloody phone.  How come every single company in the whole wide world now is "we are busier than usual".  WTF is the meaning of usual?

Simple. they cut thier overheads by reducing the staff levels.

Alternatively they are all working from home and are busier than usual on their allotments or walking the dog. 

I'm going into the office later this week. I can guarantee zero productivity, so well worth the trip to Brumingham!

My printer! 

My solicitor emailed over some documents about lunchtime to sign and send back, which I thought I had time to do and get them in the last post. 

Expect my printer didn't get the memo and refused to connect to my computer. No idea why and I didn't do any thing different. Turned it on plugged in the cable, but no joy. 

After about 3 hours faffing around, Swearing at it, running diagnostics, cussing it, reinstalling the software, pleading with it, updating the firmware etc I eventually connected it via WiFi and printed the docs, but of course by then I'd missed the post! 

Bastard thing!                                                                         Sigh....

I nearly threw it out of the frigging window!    Lucky I didn't have a baseball bat handy, as I'd have converted it into a jigsaw puzzle!

Ive given up with printers now. More trouble than they are worth. Do all my printing at work these days.

Trouble is I had to buy a new ink cartridge as so long since I used it that it had dried up, bloody £20 as well. Thats half a weeks food shop---------

You will probably find you can 'print to pdf' this will save a file on the pc you can then attach to an email without needing to physically print it.

It's been ages since I've had to pick up the printer, shaking it vigously, shouting "waking oppsing wake" at it.  Even longer since I last threw one down the stairs

I keep thinking I should get a new printer, mine's an ancient HP laser jet. But it keeps going on the few occasions I used it.

Older Laserjets are rock solid reliable, and if you can still get toner, makes little sense to change it.

Mine is (my idea of) quite new, probably around 2015, and keeps going. About once every 6 months it seems to need restarting though - looks fully functional, but point blank refuses to receive any incoming print/scan requests.

The Post Office. 

They charged me £3.40 to send a C4 sized envelope, with nine sheets of A4 in it, first class, recorded delivery!
