I know I'm repeating myself from the other thread  ..... I know I'm repeating myself from the other thread,  ;) but surely he could have chosen a far easier place to install their black box of electrickery!  :-? It's not as though there's loads of room behind there anyway.

Well he has, it's above the glove box, he went in the back of the radio to look for the trafic master loom so he could use that for the speaker and power on the new system, though I would of though this would of been a bit naughty re using old parts as he would not use the old trafic master switch I have and drilled the blank out next to the TC button and put one in there

Double double repost 4tw  :p

I think the main dealer knowing the RAC is picking up the bill has filled his boots and had a field day. Ching, ching  :-/

£1300 + VAT

Climate control unit, Wooded dash trim in the center consol

Labour was for fitting the above parts, removing dash to check loom, and re gassing the air (Diddnt need it but though though I might as well have it)

anyway, since it came back found the CD changer doesnt work, think its a issue with the head unit as it thinks it has a tape in when it doesnt, also the TC switch doesnt work or light up but TC is still working...

And vauxhall are "too busy" to work on it till 12 of march...

But at least I've got the car back :)

Serves 'em right for cocking it up in the first place IMHO.

If they employ monkeys they should expect to pay for rectification.

As long as they fix the outstanding items .. then you start on compensation/costs for loss of use of the car ....  :)

There too busy to rip the RAC off :D

Given the money they are making I'd have thought they'd be working around the clock with an extra shift of fitters  ;D

The figures on the final bill will look something like the Northern Rock rescue  ;D ;D ;D

Serves them right for the bl00dy mess they've made of this simple task. >:( They need to stick to repairing punctures and jump starting flat batteries.

Jut looking for a nice head unit now, sod waiting for them,

Just tying to find some thing that can be made to work with the wheel controls & the dash disply, oh it's need to match up with the dash and play MP3's...

They are out there

I have a nice pioneer that does all that, and is a handsfree bluetooth as well ;)

Kenwood and sony are also quite easy to get the bits for, think Alpine & Jvc are a bit trickier from when I was searching

Don't forget to send the bill to the RAC though.... :y

It's not just the connector come loose at the back of the head unit, I assume?
