what sort of rev range? And have you ensured that the throttle control under bonnet - next to butterflies is not stuck...

Has there been any work done recently that would have unsettled anything in the engine bay?

well code 19 is either crank issue or stored crank issue from before - i reckon you have probably started the car 20 times since fitting the crank eh?

In other words the previous stored code should have gone by now....

how would i swap out the icv ? :-/

change it for a known good - even worth seeing if local scrappy has one.....

Before hand retrace all your steps and check connections.

You need to lube, or fairy liquid the icv around and on the ruibber connection to force it back into the side of the plenum and ensure its snug...
i see what you mean now :-[,that should be worth a try ,cheers for the advice  :y

Alternativlely....pop the icv out just fractionally and see if it makes any difference to your problem...obviously it wont fix it but if your symptoms are exactly the same.... :-/

The only time i have had such a problem ( starting and cutting out immediatley unless revved) was after a breather clean. IACV not properly connected ...

Long shot but even if you can swap out the ICV to eliminate from the problem :-/

New engines come bare normally, ie no ancilliaries but depends on where your buying it....

Probably get an ebay one for a few hundred max but do the belts etc when sinking it in.

something very very simple - does your cig lighter and heaters work....ie check the fuse firstly...

Secondly inpspect the aux belt and condition....

Goo in filler cap not indicitive of HGF. Its resonably normal for mayo in there if the car does short runs in winter...

Its very doubtful you have hgf failure - its rare on Omegas.

If your coolant expansion tank is goo free i see no significnt issues - and your right it may be the stat...

If theres oil iin coolant it may be oil cooler - more common but not a huge job...

hope this helps

its normal on v6`s on short runs particularly in the cold weather.

Peronally i clean it off ad hoc and ensure the car gets a decent motorway blast and very regular servicing...that combination does the trick.
