I'm very sorry to hear this news K and I will miss your thoughts on the many things we discuss here.

All the very best for the future and give me a call anytime you want to.

Its also my sons birthday today.Hes only 28 though. :P :D

That makes me feel even older, Albitz. :(

Mind you, on the plus side, Claude Debussy is 150 today – though he's not in the best of health I understand.  ;)

Welcome to the old duffers club Nick. ;D

Claude sends his best wishes;

Even paying half the asking price, I would get a AA/RAC inspection & perhaps approach the Jaguar Enthusiast/owners club for further advice  :-\

I think that's sound advice. :y

My nice Mr MOT Man picked mine up the other week when I MOT'd my Omega, so I'll be using a bit of Kluber on them. The stickiest, thickest grease known to man!

It'll be added to the overall cost of a tin of Beanz  ...........................  ::)

 ;D ;D ;D ;D Splendid - although I can see why. :o

On the lavatory and - in spite of whatever entreaties are made for me to expand on this - that's all you’re getting. :-X

Indeed Den. Worked in my case. Figures crossed for Andy. :y

I can only imagine how painful it must be - the very thought of it gives me the willies.

In fact, the very thought of it has made me break out into a sweat. ;D

Sounds unpleasant enough Andy - I hope the pain resulting from the procedure is worth it in the end. :y :y

Being old enough to have sex does not mean you're old enough to take adult life-changing decisions.

Yes I certainly agree and despite all the 'up to date' thinking on social engineering, that practical realisation should be enough for most people to think this a bad idea.

Did the Chinese not try something similar in the recent past?
