The Daddy!
« on: 16 February 2007, 18:42:49 »

Well i have had the Cambelt kit done and new water pump fitted at Vx.. i have got Vx semi synthetic oil, filter, air filter and rocker cover gaskets as they are leaking oil very slightly onto the exhaust manifold. So hoping for a dryish day over the weekend ;)
I have a bulb out that lights up the Rev counter when the lights are on will this cause the Check on the mid computer to read Headlights and Taillights?? I have checked all the lights which are working fine, and when the lights aren't on there is no check on the computer.....
I must admit i didn't think these Omegas would handle so well for a big car. I have started night shift this week and have driven in "Ebony" ( kids named her not me!) for two nights running and i buzz as soon as i sit in her.... :D   ;D

Check lights is probably because you have two different makes of tail lamp. Seem to remember this coming up before.

Dash light is a 5 minute job to replace. 2 methods:

1. Using a large chisel and a club hammer, smash through the dash until you can reach the back of the pod. Removing the windscreen first gives you more clout.

2. Remove the pod properly, which takes about 5 minuts but does mean usiung a civilised phirrips screwdriver.

Pretty certain the dash bulbs won't affect.

Check tail lights (2 each side) and numberplate lights....
