Battery disconnection concerns

Hi guys.

I have a 2001 3.2 Elite, but I received no codes or books or anything with it, is there anything I should be aware of if I disconnect the battery? I have read a post that says that the radios in the 3.2 won't need a code because it's matched to the car or something like that? Thanks. :)

If you disconnect the battery you will lose the radio code.

You need a car pass, with the codes on it available from a dealer, at a cost.

Shouldn't be a problem but it is worth getting a car pass anyway for any future needs :y

Whats and NCDC?

The type of head unit, NCDC 2013 or 2015, it will be written on the front of your radio  :y

So does a battery disconnect only affect the radio? Does it also reset the ECU to default so that it learns again?

Battery disconnect won't affect your radio, ECU keeps its settings.  :y

The only thing you will have to do is reset the "one" touch windows:

NCDC needs no code, so no worries there.

It will need windows and sunroof reseting

I've just done a post on this topic http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=111557.0.  You will need to disconnect the battery within 15 seconds of removing the ignition key or the alarm will go off.  You will need to reprogram the sunroof if you have one.  I'm surprised the radio doesn't need a code.  You will have to reprogram each window as mentioned. You may also lose any average mpg info on the display not that anyone mig owner would notice that ;).
