NCD1013 reset
« on: 30 June 2015, 14:17:14 »

Some of the options I.e consumption will not reset along with a couple of others.. Some work fine like the " range"  the consumption one when attempting to reset starts with ( ----) as a display then goes to 99.9 mls .It stays on this regardless of how long vehicle driven... What's needed to fix this guys?

S'nout to do with the NCDC, that plays no part in the Board Computer other than as an input device.

Which functions work? Is the Range value feasible?  You are looking for the single thing that impacts the duff readings.

Main and clear for 6 seconds iirc...?

Worth a search it's on here somewhere, if you want to dis-count it.

Working info is...range  , speed and trip distance...
Not working is...trip consumption, consumption, or inst consumption

Just CLEAR for 6s (until screen blanks briefly), but that resets the NCDC, not the GID/CID

Is the Range value viable?

As looks like its pointing towards not seeing the injection duration values.

When did this start?  Has the Range value changed since it happened?

OK, after you have next driven it, see if the Range changes.

In the meantime, press and hold MAIN for 6s, then press BC, then post up everything that's on the screen.

If you do, grab the code index off it. Should be 074 for a 3.2

I Had a look at this one last night.

First of all, none of the press and hold's had any effect at all?

Problem looks to be GID not seeing a crank signal?  Altough instant tank content looks variable?

Live Data on a short run

Fault codes

GID Data

Menu system showed english units selected, but diag tool suggests Japenese?

No other codes in the car, was running fine, maybe benefit from a breather / TB / ICV clean as the idle could have been smoother.

Ive no access to anything else with a GID to compare findings.

Thoughts?

check wiring diags, check connectivity on wire(s) between display and engine ecu.

if ok, suspect display.  did you get code index off it?

I changed a couple of bulbs behind this display for the bloke that used to own it several months before I bought it... Are we saying there could be a loose connection at the back..
