DIY air compressor.

Is this one any good?

Stanley B6CC304SCR523 24Ltr Electric Compressor with 5 Piece Accessory Kit 230V

About the most exciting thing I would use it for is vacuum filling coolant systems and possibly some paint repairs :-\

It might do if you're intending to paint hankies.

It will do vac filling, and inflate tyres if you can stand the noise of it running while it does so. And a double barrel foot pump would probably be quicker.

The toolkits that come with such things are universally terrible.

If you're intending to use any sort of air tool, you won't buy a compressor that is too big.

Ive a similar sized one- Aldi Special, bought 2nd hand from a colleague for £20.
I wouldnt be without it, and would replace it, prob like for like.
Accept it wont run any tools, I tried and failed.
I find it great for doing tyres, assuming close enough (I can do all 3 cars without moving it)
What I use most, is the air duster, and would buy one just for that, so would stick to the cheap ones knowing they would suit my needs and I'd have to spend a fortune to get anythig decent enough for tool use.
Never tried painting, but you would need other kit like a dryer iirc.

I have a 150L tank one and it wont keep up with a die grinder or DA so have to wait till it builds up again, I have an air powered angle grinder that will not work at all on it. Miss the V twin 3 phase one I had when I had the garage.
