Yeah that's the part, just wondering if this would solve the problem of heat in the cab ?? - guess no harm in trying as it's a cheap part to buy

Omega General Help / Luke Warm Air in Cabin
« on: 27 January 2013, 21:47:34 »
Hi Folks, need some advise.
Recently had new Water Pump fitted, due to leak, however before and after fitting still cannot get heat into car.
Removed hoses from Matrix and flushed both directions, got a bit more heat through after this, but now back to virtually cold air.  DOES ANYONE THINK it could be the Heat Exchange Valve, if so I'll get one an pop it in, although I know it's a bit of a fiddly job.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Sub Woofer

Hi Dave,

Certainly Not wired to the ignition, just that it the amp will only only come on if ignition on and Radio switched on, otherwise it would be on all the time if just connected to a live which many people do consequently draining the battery

Just popped a decent AMP and subwoofer into my Omega, (Double Din facelift) had NO RCA outputs so had to install a right and left Channel RCA leads similar to the previous post showing an ebay item, dead sinch to install. Power Amp installed in the compartment in the boot on the right hand side, fits a treat, fortunately I have decent power at the back due to tow bar fitting, but on my old Omega got power from front of car near drivers seat side. Amp only on with ignition so works really well

Omega General Help / Re: Newbie Omega owner and question

Hi Same issue with me.
Went direct to Vauxhall bought a brand new fob for around £50, they programmed it to fit my car using the car security information card which contains security information about your car, liek Chassis No. Radio Code, CD Code, key Code Immodoliser Code etc.  If you haven't got a your 'Car Passport' so to speak you can order one from Vauxhall, costs around £20, which provides you with all these codes, you'll need to pop in and show registration document and ID. only takes a couple of days. Then just order a new Key fob.

Omega General Help / Omega 2.2 16V Cabin Luke Warm
« on: 12 December 2012, 21:32:40 »
I've just had a Water pump fitted as I had a leak, had the head tested and all OK, but only getting Luke warm heat in cabin, been told that flushing the Matrix may help. Used to run cold before, but new thermostat fitted and engine runs correct temp but still not heat in cabin other than luke warm air. Any help apreciated
