Intel in this case. Bloody retarded friggin' agent.
Why do I get the feeling the phone support will be the same idiots?
-
Costs. You as a customer, are worth jack to them, they already have your money.

Yep, and they can connect you to a retard until you slam the phone down and say "there, we supported you". ;)
-
Yeah, they never implied it would be usefull support. ;D
-
Mind you, I was on the phone to BT for 4 and a half hours earlier today. I never knew BT had that many departments, and I've worked there for 24 years ;D

Wish I could speak to someone at BT. All I ever get is 'automated' or some foreigner that I can't understand. For a telecoms service they make it bloomin difficult to speak to a human. >:( >:(

that's the idea, it's a deflection process at minimum cost. If you get pissed off and hang up it can't be that serious, according to them.
What they don't realise is the oversees call centres are that hopeless they may as well cut them loose, but it's the cheapest way to provide 24 hour "support"

Bloody Indian call centre hung up on me, as the useless lump of organic waste couldn't get her head around the type of line I had >:(
-
I'm sure it must have been working "the day before you came" ...? :)
-
After the next spell on hold, perhaps you should start the conversation with Thank You for the Music ::)

Take a chance on me...... :y

If it's a foreign site I just say " Sorry I can't understand you, can you transfer me to an English call centre please". Trouble is then you end up with a real muppet. ;D ;D

>:( Only tried them once and never went back after the size of the phone bill I got. The info and advice was crap too but the problem was eventually solved my my reading various forums and using key words. By the way monkeys are probably more intelligent ;D ;D ;D
Microsoft!!!!!! Robbin barstewards who are now trying to have us buy the latest useless OS which is being slated by every vendor and forum I read the articles of.
Will I be buying it? After testing it a few times on different PC's and Laptops.......and finding it worse than the dreaded Vista......A BIG FAT NO TO THAT! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Bring back Bill Gates....at least he knew what he was on about most of the time. ;)

Yep. BT are sods for that.
ISP: "Looks like a line problem. We'll raise an issue with BT. They'll respond within a week :o"
Me: "A rather week!"
ISP: "Yep. Actually, we might be able to pull some strings, but try BT anyway"
BT: "It's your ISP's problem.. They're responsible for support. Of course, if you sign up with broadband from us.."
Me: "I thought your wholesale arm was supposed to be strictly separate from your retail arm, so how would that help? I'm sure OFCOM would love to know. Anyway.. my phone line's knackered too, and I pay you line renta..."
BT: "Duuuuur...."
Yeah, thanks for that. I pay 10.75 a month for a phone line that I don't need just so I can buy broadband from someone else who actually does know their @rse from their elbow, and this is the thanks I get. >:(

There's a lot of good things in Win8. An awful lot. As there was with Vista. Trouble is, the retard IT journos we have here are too lazy to learn new stills, so that makes the product "crap".
So, like Vista, Win8 will be dead and buried before anyone sees it.
Certain parts of the 'enthusiast' community - that portion that dont want to pay for it - are also slating it as "crap"... ...for a more robust anti-piracy system, that is harder to work around, and nigh on impossible to crack (the only workaround is not cracking it, and is very easily detected).
