Snow (small amount) here in Sandhurst - no doubt trains will be up the shoot.
-
Got it here too.Was a bit shocked.Dont remember weather girl predicting that yesterday. She said it would dry and quite mild. ::)
-
Here too, but not cold enough to settle
-
White stuff making a nuisance of its self here with the "school run". >:(....road outside is gridlocked and its not really settling as too damp.
-
2cm and melting. :)

It rained here at 3am when the cat got me up ::) then a hard frost on top of it ...

It's been trying here but nothing came of it
-
yesterday afternoon first trial.. temperatures quickly dropped to 0..
Probably Putin brought with him during his visit.. ;D
-
A sort of overall dusting in Bracknell - pleasant to look at, fortunately clear on all the non-estate roads so the drive to work was still.. well, awful, but only as awful as it always is ;D

Just got back from the shop and the car was all over the place , black ice every road :o TC working overtime :y
-
Chucked it down quite heavily from 6am till 7.30. no school buses and the poor old teachers couldt make it in. Accident up the road as someone reversed out their drive and the car slide straight out into the traffic. Virtually all gone now (11.30) hope it dont freeze tonight as I got to go to Thetford!

Yep, snow as Del stated earlier fell today down this way.
I just went 17 miles this morning on lightly snow covered roads, or just slush, and sure enough there was a young woman who had just "parked" her car into a ditch!!
Why is it a bit of snow and................slip, slide, bang, and things happen when really there was just no need. Drive carefully, considering the road surface / temperature, and all should be safe. But no, so many are just not prepared. ::) ::) :P

Only (us) old fogies seem to drive to the conditions these days - (young) people now grow up with cars with ABS, traction control, stability control, electronic brake force distribution, lane guidance, automatic emergency braking etc etc etc and, I'm pretty sure, all those tools give them the feeling that they can drive as they always do, regardless, and let the electronics 'catch' them if they stumble..
While those of us who are older probably vividly remember throwing their first car off the road into a ditch due to an over abundance of ambition and lack of talent with no electronics to save us.. ;D
(Granted my first incident was at 5mph on ice, so no electronics would have saved me once my diesel Metro was pirouetting down Pocklington Industrial Estate :-[ ABS & EBD would have saved me the next summer, though, when I threw the same Metro into a ditch at 70..)

2 inches here, nice and sunny, sore arse and banged back of head on door frame flying off front door step whilst talking on the mobile.
Didn't make it any further so went back in and put kettle on for another tea. :(

It's falling thick and fast here... About 1cm in the last 15 mins :o
Doubt it'll last long though and should all be gone by morning :-\ At least I hope so, otherwise I've got to get up and clear the car(s) and probably have to take SWMBO to work as she doesn't like driving in snow unless she absolutely has to ::)
-
Have you tried those tyres yet :-\

Have you tried those tyres yet :-\
Not had time to swap them over yet :-[ ::)
I also need to get another 2 so it's on the list for this weekend (although that may get moved up to tomorrow) ::)
TBH, I've never had issues with the Omega in the snow anyway and I'll be filling the petrol tank in the morning if it's still about ;)

'Twas bright and sunny for the past couple of hours but is now clouding over, quite darkly, and the temperature is dropping fast. Must finish packing the tin-tent for this weekend before it gets too cold ... I've packed the beer, the whisky, fruit cake and cheese, 2 jumpers and a large gas bottle ... have I missed anything important ??
Have a nice weekend y'all.. I know I will .... :y :y :y :y
