Tramling.
Steering wheel not on straight (even after visits to WIM).
Frequent visits to the petrol station (I think the girl there thinks I used to fancy her, she must think I've died).
I really love this Insignia :y
-
Cruise control
climate control
small amount of glass and tinted (stops car being a greenhouse)
electric seat adjustment
memory seats/mirror
effortless overtaking
the quiet of it all
legroom
easy to get in and out of (had to buy a kitchen step up for the MIL)
cavernous boot (even though I once said on the forum I thought it was small ,gulp)
never finding the water leak
the certainty that someone on the forum could and would help with advice to fix the problems
cruise (I know I said that already but I really do)
wondering if the next encounter with a sleeping policeman would finish the exhaust off
lastly the frequent petrol station visits

No custard? ;D

No custard? ;D
It's got plenty of cup holders for my mugs of custard :y
-
Must admit that of the many things I might miss on the Omega, cruise control would not be one of them.I have never yet used cruise on any car I've owned.
-
I use it all the time. Custard or no custard. But each to thier own. :)
-
Yep, I use cruise a lot as well.
Set to legal speed limit where speed cameras are present, set to whatever is displayed on the gantry on average speed monitoring zone and sometimes just to get the circulation back in my legs on the motorway. :y
The thing I find un-predictable are rain sensing wipers, which I am constantly over-ruling.

they could do with the one-touch function still available, without having to set the washers off and the wipers for 3strokes. They do seem to nod off.
Although the omega ones are way better than on her old 07 golf td. They'd go off for no reason on a bright sunny day, and not come on at all when pressing down. Random sensing wipers more like.

The only things I miss from the Omega are the self levelling rear end and the xenon lights which the Signum doesn't have as standard,I don't mind too much as the V6 diesel in the Signum is lovely :y
-
Automatically opening sunroof in the rain :D ;D ;D ;D

That's about 11k cheaper than I paid for my Omega when it was ten months old so I thought that was good. :-\
I prefer the Tourer as well. :y I meant to post this pic above but got side tracked by custard. :y

Depreciation. The Insignia will be worth about a bag of chips in a few years time ::) ::)

Well I had one up to 130 around the Millbrook circuit and it was bloody great! So I think I can handle the excitement when I go for the 150............of course on non-public roads! ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

cruise (I know I said that already but I really do)
For cruise aficionados the new BMWs not only apply the brakes to maintain set speed they also have a 10mph jump function - entering a 40 from a 30 - just one click. Brilliant.

Similar to My Merc ..... 5 mph jump though ;) (MB forum rave about Distronic ..... that's not fitted to mine :'( )
-
steady, they'll do away with the driver altogether, if we're not carefull. yes i know its coming, but who tf wants to be driven by a computer? unless its at driver discretion of course...
-
My guess is we would be surprised at how many would happily jump into a car , press a button for destination and do no driving at all ::)
-
Trouble is that Computers are only as good as the people that programs them ::)
If I ever learn C+++ god help us all ;D

Handling. The Insignia is reasonably good, but not a patch on a 15yr old Omega.
A proper handbrake, even if the Omega's one is shit, its still better than the tripe the Insignia has.

I may have already said that the replacement for my Omega may well be an Insignia diesel :(.

Yup, me.
As long as, when the mood takes me, I could jump back in the drivers seat.

Ohhh how I'd love to get a Monaro then.
Not only would you have 1/2 an engine, it would use the wrong fuel too ;D ;D

Someone who has supercharged his, to around 600bhp. Gets an average of 28mpg ;)

Heheheeee, the time machine, one second we where there, the next we where 1/4 of a mile up the road. I still laugh just thinking about that Monaro. ;D

Bloody fast!
Also for me, rear seats had impressive leg room. I expected room back there to be rubbish, but it was excellent!
-
Yep, impressive, gota have 4doors though. :)

I haven't got a bad word to say about my old Miggy once I got her uptogether. I'm sorry she's gone after 2+ years. That's a long time for me to keep a car!
I am enjoying the Jag. It's a very different drive, to the Omega, though.
I enjoy DRIVING more, in the Jag, because it's just more sedate and relaxing, whereas I enjoyed DRIVING THE OMEGA MORE because it would just go go go and stick to the road like brown stuff to a blanket ;D *
* With decent rear tyres

Just shows he's Miss Daisy most of the time. I suspect that test drive, all 8 miles of it, used nearly 2 gallons ;)
