Things I miss on my old Omega
« on: 21 December 2012, 07:11:43 »

Tramling.

Steering wheel not on straight (even after visits to WIM).

Frequent visits to the petrol station (I think the girl there thinks I used to fancy her, she must think I've died).

I really love this Insignia :y

Cruise control
climate control
small amount of glass and tinted (stops car being a greenhouse)
electric seat adjustment
memory seats/mirror
effortless overtaking
the quiet of it all
legroom
easy to get in and out of (had to buy a kitchen step up for the MIL)
cavernous boot (even though I once said on the forum I thought it was small ,gulp)
never finding the water leak
the certainty that someone on the forum could and would help with advice to fix the problems
cruise (I know I said that already but I really do)
wondering if the next encounter with a sleeping policeman would finish the exhaust off
lastly the frequent petrol station visits

Must admit that of the many things I might miss on the Omega, cruise control would not be one of them.I have never yet used cruise on any car I've owned.

Yep, I use cruise a lot as well.

Set to legal speed limit where speed cameras are present, set to whatever is displayed on the gantry on average speed monitoring zone and sometimes just to get the circulation back in my legs on the motorway.  :y

The thing I find un-predictable are rain sensing wipers, which I am constantly over-ruling.

they could do with the one-touch function still available, without having to set the washers off and the wipers for 3strokes. They do seem to nod off.

Although the omega ones are way better than on her old 07 golf td. They'd go off for no reason on a bright sunny day, and not come on at all when pressing down. Random sensing wipers more like.

The only things I miss from the Omega are the self levelling rear end and the xenon lights which the Signum doesn't have as standard,I don't mind too much as the V6 diesel in the Signum is lovely :y
