Title: Eastleigh Election.
Post by: mantahatch on 14 February 2013, 13:12:38
I finally get to vote for the party I have always wanted to vote for, The Monster Raving Loony party are putting a candidate up for election in Eastleigh.

Well happy  :y

List of candidates here  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-21458497

This will not be a wasted vote. It is a toss up between liberals and tories, no one else stands a chance here, the sheeple of Eastleigh are so stupid they will just vote liberal again and again and again.

It is not called beastley eastleigh for nothing  :(

UKIP  membership is rising rapidly while the 3 big players are losing members hand over fist.Ukip are vying in the opinion polls nationally with the Limpdems. Its very difficult to get an MP elected to westminster if your outside the cartel, but hopefully UKIP will soon move past the point where they can be called a protest party. :)

I would vote UKIP but they don't have a chance I am afraid. They interviewed a few old people in eastleigh and 3 out of 4 said they where votng liberal, one sad act even said she would vote for huhne again. This is the mentality in eastleigh I am afraid.

But if everyone keeps thinking they dont have a chance so theres no point in voting for them, then the others are never going to face a serious challenge. ;)

Where's Eastleigh?

It a grubby little railway town next to Southampton and a few mile from Winchester. It is of course of no importance to the country in general  ;D

Yes, but I considered myself either part of Southampton, or if I really wanted to sound posh, I would say part of Winchester! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) ;)

Interestingly enough when we first lived in Fair Oak, the postal address was always "nr. Southampton (never Eastleigh)! :D :D :D

The Labour candidate is an "interesting" character.John O,Farrell (satirist, comic writer and former speech writer for Tony Bliar) wrote a book quite a few years ago, about the trials & tribulations of being a Labour supporter, in which he expressed his feelings about the Brighton bomb.He said he felt a surge of excitment when he heard the news about the bomb,he was disappointed Thatcher hadnt been murdered and kept asking repeatedly why she didnt stay in her bathroom 2 minutes longer. She left her bathroom 2 minutes before the bomb went off and the bathroom was destroyed in the blast.
He also said he used to fantasise about scenarios which stopped her being PM,including one where he would pop up at the Tory conference with a machine gun.
He said when she dies her coffin should be borne on the shoulders of six part time burger flippers and at the cremation her body should be flame grilled with gherkins and slices of cheese.
He was also disappointed that the U.K. won the Falklands war.
Norman Tebbit, whose wife was crippled in the bomb blast said he is a "incontinently voiced moral reprobate".
To me it answers some questions and confirms suspicions about decisions made by Labour which on the surface didnt make sense when they are in Govt. These people hate anything British, simple as that.

The Guardian meanwhile, says he would make a great MP for Eastleigh.Imo that tells us all we need to know about that rag.
