Straight six BMW diesel is a totally different engine to all the petrol ones so in answer to your question, no, a petrol sump is not an option.

If you need to widen your search, ie breakers etc, that lump was fitted to BM 325 / 525 TDi's, Range Rover Freelanders 2.5 TD and some Shoguns but dont quote me if they all have the same sump though.

A TD is a straight 6

Petrol engines come as V6's & straight 4's

A little fore thought would have answered your own question!!  ::)  ::)  ::)

It wasn't me asking the questions ...... I know that others here will look at the question, wade through so far, not have a clue what you're on about & give in!

This is extremely rude, which is not acceptable on OOF. I did not fully understand your question either, and I'm afraid your daughter omitted to mention your predicament. >:(

well Rob put me straight with a simple reply. I guess Andy,s sarcasm has clouded  knowledge of Omega, because he was totally wrong about this question and my straight 6 sump was identical to the petrol sump  ;D

All petrol engines in Omega are of Vauxhall origins, the 2.5TD is a BMW lump. So yes the sump is totally different from any petrol Omega, AndyB is correct  ;)

It maybe the same as petrol BMW straight 6s, your post suggests that, but we have limited experience of those engines here.

Punctuation makes a big difference when being read, had you considered cleaning your hands, then posting? Was not exactly life and death post, that had to be made quickly  ::)

I think I posted what others thought  ::)  ::)

Even with some punctuation we were expected to use a crystal ball too. How were we expected to know that, when he was talking TD BMW sumps, he was thinking BMW petrol sumps ................. on a Vauxhall forum?  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)

There are better ways of dealing with it though, particularly with a newbie.  Still your rudeness got a rude reply ;D ;D ;D ;D
