Im covered in sump oil and I asked my 10 year old daughter to type it for me so reconsider you humour sometime and hey shove you answer where it belongs

This is extremely rude, which is not acceptable on OOF. I did not fully understand your question either, and I'm afraid your daughter omitted to mention your predicament. >:(

Thanks Chris!  :y

well Rob put me straight with a simple reply. I guess Andy,s sarcasm has clouded  knowledge of Omega, because he was totally wrong about this question and my straight 6 sump was identical to the petrol sump  ;D

All petrol engines in Omega are of Vauxhall origins, the 2.5TD is a BMW lump. So yes the sump is totally different from any petrol Omega, AndyB is correct  ;)

It maybe the same as petrol BMW straight 6s, your post suggests that, but we have limited experience of those engines here.

Punctuation makes a big difference when being read, had you considered cleaning your hands, then posting? Was not exactly life and death post, that had to be made quickly  ::)

Straight six BMW diesel is a totally different engine to all the petrol ones so in answer to your question, no, a petrol sump is not an option.

quite selective with your posts then ......

I have a OMEGA BMW engine diesel 2.5  on a V reg I need a sump are they all standard size as I have noticed that my drain plug is directly below the sump Im looking at has the drain plug on its side and come of a petrol

 ???  ???

Put a few commas & full stops in & it might make sence  ::)  ;)  ;)
::) ::) ::) ;D ;D

 ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D Oh dear!!! At least you could understand it though ...... more than the original question!

Yep nice way to greet a newbie mate ??? - particularly when you can't spell ;D ;D ;D ;D

However I do agree punctuation certainly helps readability ;)

I think I posted what others thought  ::)  ::)

Even with some punctuation we were expected to use a crystal ball too. How were we expected to know that, when he was talking TD BMW sumps, he was thinking BMW petrol sumps ................. on a Vauxhall forum?  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)

There are better ways of dealing with it though, particularly with a newbie.  Still your rudeness got a rude reply ;D ;D ;D ;D

I didn't think I was being rude, just factual. How would you have phrased the fact that the post made no sense at all?  :-\
