All petrol engines in Omega are of Vauxhall origins, the 2.5TD is a BMW lump. So yes the sump is totally different from any petrol Omega, AndyB is correct 

It maybe the same as petrol BMW straight 6s, your post suggests that, but we have limited experience of those engines here.

Punctuation makes a big difference when being read, had you considered cleaning your hands, then posting? Was not exactly life and death post, that had to be made quickly

Straight six BMW diesel is a totally different engine to all the petrol ones so in answer to your question, no, a petrol sump is not an option.

Put a few commas & full stops in & it might make sence
