No problems at all with 4G for me using Nokia Lumia. Call drop outs less than my old phone on 3G. Suppose it may make a difference by area. I do not spend ages on phone calls which may also have a bearing compared to some who have the phone welded to the ear.

Apparently, the 4g network doesn't work for voice calls(ie. the main function of a phone) and the phone has to drop back to 3g for this. EE got rid of a lot of 3g capacity to maake way for 4g. Can you see where this is going..........?

In the UK, 2G is useless. Packets time out before being delivered. 3G is ideal, assuming you dont need pub bragging rights.

Too many users with smartphones, insufficient capacity, so GPRS packets have a high failure rate.

The GPRS signalling protocols are so ridiculously cumbersome that it doesn't really work carrying IP traffic with a single phone loading the network, believe me!

"I'd like to do something, please"
"Who said that?"
"Me"
"Better encrypt this in case someone's listening"
"OK"
"Can you still hear me?"
"Yes. What would you like to do"
"Send an IP frame, please"
"..and how big is this frame?"
"Oh, sod it, the user's given up now" ...
