Hello every body
I rebuild my 3.2 engine
The engine start with misfire in bank 2
(The rpm is lower than 500)
The O2 sensor for bank 2 read zero mv
The air mass flow is 23 kg/h
I check the following but the problem stay
The time pelt
The o2 sensor
The ICM
Throttle
Gas pressure
Air mass filter .
Please can any one provide me with any other suggestion
Thank you

What fault codes do you have :-\
-
P0302, 0304, 0306 and random misfire i forget the code

0300 :y
Is the wiring connector of the 246 coil pack plugged in securely :y
-
The coil pack was changed several times
And the connection was tested
-
Ok...
Are the spark plug wells dry and free from oil?
Have you removed the spark plugs to check them for any signs of fouling?
Is the coil pack a genuine GM/Bosch one :-\
-
Im betting the timing is out on that bank.
-
The sparks plug and the coil pack is genuine GM
The time pelt is aligned
-
Sorry the spark plugs are tested and they r okay
-
In the garage they told me that the AMF should be half mine (around 10 mine is 23 kg/h)
I dont know if this is a side effect or the cause of the misfire
-
MAF? Tried unplugging it and running?
-
Tried unplugging the MAF and run but no thing happens
The code disappear when the rpm is high :(

Do a compression test (on all 6 cylinders)
If all cylinders read the same then carry on looking at fuel & ignition systems.
If there is no compression on 2/4/6 then go back and check the cam timing.
-
I do the compression test and all 6 cylinders gives the same reading
Also the fuel system is tested and found no problem with it
The coil pack and sparks are tested

So cam timing OK and no bent valves :y

The coil pack and sparks are tested
You are looking for something that only affects one side of the engine.
The fuel rail serves all six injectors so fuel doesn't seem to be the issue. That leaves ignition as the most likely cause. :-\
-
That is right the fuel is irrelevant.
I check pack coil and sparks. What else can be checked concerning iginition .

The loom for resistance between the coil pack and ecu :y
-
I ll check the connections again :y
Coolant level problem appears but i am not sure if it related ???
Can I drive the car in this situation? >:(

Doesn't sound like a great idea to go far far in this condition. I did a top end rebuild a few years ago and shortly after developed an un pleasant misfire. Eventually it was the HT leads. Maybe the poking and prodding around isn't good if the leads are old. Could try running it in the dark and checking for any signs of arking but unless the leasd are relatively new i'd try changing them...

The 2003 V6 has coil packs sat on top of the spark plugs so no plug leads.
I agree that all the pulling and pushing may have upset some electrical connections though :(

Wow... Thanks for the update Andy. I'm getting old and everything I've got is becoming an antique! :y

Check the wires at the injector muiltiplug, There are eight wires here, one for each injector and TWO positive supplies, one feeding each bank of injectors
-
The wires are okay
the bank 2 head may be the cause of the problem
It needs avaccum test
