...after the storm?
Fierce winds here last night , loads of damage around the place, trees and branches mostly, but fences still up.
-
A twig fell off next doors tree into my garden :'(
-
Neighbours fence blew down into my garden. Not too fussed actually as it wont be going back & now have a nice supply of extra firewood for the woodburner :y
-
A few flying wheely bins and that was about it, thankfully. Hope the rest of you fared OK, still windy here though ???
-
Ok down here I think :)
Really bad breeze last night but nowt to worry about :y
-
Really windy here still. Got up so many times during the night expecting to see our big pine tree having a lie down, never noticed a fence panel laying on the ground. Him next door put it up, he can blooming well fix it..
-
Very strong winds here for the last 18 hours,,,next doors fence down, actually snapped the ground spikes off and all in my garden so worked up an appetite before breakfast and put it all back in his garden for him.....on his lawn in a heap of coarse...so helpful i am :D :D
-
Fence panel down. ::)
-
I had wind in the night.. but no follow through
-
Still pretty windy up here in sunny Scunny, but pretty much got away with it I think.A few stray wheelie bins making a break for freedom but that's about it.
-
Windy here.

Wheely bin was propped against the side of the M3 .. seemingly gently though as there was no damage. Miraculously the anti-gravity fence stayed up (that's the one where only two of five posts are actually connected to the ground, the rest have rotted through) and the 30' oak and 40' fir are still standing in the garden, thankfully!

If only.. they're all of 15' from the house and that's the edge of the garden ;D
-
Thanks to last nights winds I now have a even dozen of fence panels laying in bits across the garden. >:(

That is pretty close for a pair of mature trees.
Roots under the house?

Wow, all that way? And no damage :o
-
The bin was round the back of the house this time - I'd moved all ours back (next doors were still flying about in the car park, of course!) behind the house to keep them a bit more sheltered.. so it had only 'walked' about two feet to the car.
Still surprised there was no damage, though.. even more surprised the fence is still up given how much it was moving last night!

Wind direction was more in line with the M4 Aaron, come on.... ;D

We had our nine year old fence replaced in November... fortunately had the foresight to replace 3" posts with 4" ones... doesn't even rattle now 8) bits of trees and buildings everywhere, but it is at least dry :-\
I reckon there were more wheely bins than people in town last night ;D
-
Wheelie-bin blew down early on laid it down to stop it happening again
Few sticks and branches his the patio door
Nothing really
House i'm working at had two ridge tiles blown off onto conservatory - got a roofer in for them and fixed

Think you'll find the posts are 4"x4"x72", and bolted to 6' panels ::)

.Yes. I'd much rather live in the south and pay £300,000 for a two bed flat. Much better than the five bed house you could get up here. :y

The NE has lots to recommend it. Co. Durham and Northumberland are driving heaven, and we have parmos, and, erm, er... we invented the friction match. A fact regularly celebrated by the local youth, by the torching of whatever stumbles into reach.

If it helps, I think it looks good when it's all lit up, it's just I saw it before it was lit and my mind jumped straight to tomato flavoured egg-based meals...
