Title: Spare Turkey
Post by: Figureman52 on 22 December 2014, 20:37:32
Sensible suggestions please. :)

Due to a generous neighbour and lack of communication between me and swmbo, we have ended up with two turkeys for Christmas. ::)

If anyone can suggest a good home for a 4.2Kg Turkey currently slowly defrosting on our kitchen worktop it would be most welcome.

I would not like to see a good bird go to waste, ;D

In the blame/sue culture we've blindly, greedily, stupidly wandered into as a society, would they be able to accept something like that?

Certainly worth asking, as a great idea/

Might be worth offering it on freecycle if jobsworths get in the way at the charities. It might go to someone needy if you choose the right respondent.

I personally wouldnt give anything to the Salvation Army... not even the steam off my shit TBH...

I would keep it for meself, cook it, freeze it and have the suggested curries all year...

I think foodbanks are a good idea, but the food would be given to those that do actually need it and not the ones with a fag in 1 hand, can of Fosters in the other, covered in tattoos with the name of their 'babies' written all over their necks/faces and pushing a pram with their next illigimate child.... I cant afford any food..... no but you can afford to go to the local off licence and buy your weeks supply of booze and fags though to keep your habit going...
