Title: Cookery types
Post by: BazaJT on 25 December 2014, 13:28:54
As Maureen is off at her grand daughters for the day we're not having our "Xmas dinner" until tomorrow. It's one of  those five bird roast things from Aldi. Now I bought that without giving a great deal of thought-not unusual for me-but now I see the cooking instructions say to cook it at 200C.Our cooker only goes as high as 190c so how much longer do I have to cook it for than the instructions say to ensure it's done properly?I've looked through the cookers instruction book to see if that lists anything but if it does I can't find it,so thought I'd ask on here.

Set oven to 180 then
190 in a fan assissted oven wil cremate it. I would use 180, as Rob said, or even 170.

Yep id go for 170C .... test it an hour before you want to eat it....spear it with a carving fork, if juices don't run clear...turn it up to 180C for 1/2hr , if juices run clear this time....rest for 1/2hr (the roast that is, not you  ;D and enjoy  :y
