Any good?........They seem to get favourable reviews. Apparently they resist splitting, and therefore keep your paws clean. :y
Around £13.50 plus P+P for 100 gloves.

Gloves are for poofs, women (while washing the pots) and premier league footballers ::):D

Should you be so minded you could close your eyes and make believe that Frank Bruno has taken hold of your knob. ;D

I've been using these recently and they are very durable. :y
The only drawback that I have come across is that as they are black and it's difficult to tell which is the dirty side as I tend to 'roll' them off, thus turning them inside out. ::) When I put them back on I've forgotten they're inside out and ended up with dirty hands.... :D ::) ;D

Agreed. White Mamba would be more appropriate. :y

When I started I wasn't used to wearing them and use to go hand ''commando'' and used the Swarfega to get the crud off. Now I've got in to the habit of wearing them as they're provided by the garage.
They do occasionally split if you catch your hand on something sharp in the engine bay but I've never used a glove that didn't (unless you buy the non-disposable ones). And cos they're so packed in you do get the occasional one that disintegrates as youpull it out lol but I think that's down to how theyre packaged.
The great thing is how long they last.... I pinched a pack for mytool box and one month later theyre only half way through (and I change them often cos I like the feeling of new latex :-X ;D
-
Gloves?? spray oven cleaner to get the grease/oil off - also has the advantage of finding all the cuts and nicks in your paws :)

ow!!!

What is the difference between Nitrile and latex?

Worth a punt then mate imo :y

According to the God goggle, Nitrile is synthetic rubber and more puncture resistant.
I'll give them a whirl and blame you if they are crap. ;D ;D

Fair enough mate ;D

I use the free one's, that are available 8),otherwise I just wash my hands with swarfega..
What did we do before poncey gloves,? ;D
-
Latex disintegrate as soon as you show them some oil, nitrile don't.. though they still only last about 30 seconds before I've sliced them open rendering them useless.
If I'm not doing work that requires fine tactile feedback then I much prefer these: http://www.mechanix.com/automotive/the-original

I use the free gloves too ..... doesn't matter if they split - just put another one on top
:y :y
-
Well worth paying the extra for Nitrile Gloves they won't melt when exposed to strong chemicals such as anything containing petroleum. :y

Yeah they are. Was just saying what we use :y
-
I've just paid £1.99 for two pairs of something called 'Workwear' gloves from Aldi.
They are thin enough to be sensitive should you need to grease any nipples ::) ::) ::) but robust enough to last longer than disposable gloves.
I'll see how they hold up. :y
-
I forgot to mention I have some gloves from sports direct for around a pound lol they look like they're made for golf or summat but really nice for car work.
-
I use these for car, tiling, cementing, painting, etc ..... good value, good gloves

Marigolds for me :y

I've wide palms and short fingers, and find that a glove I can get my hand in leaves an empty space at the end of the finger. This is annoying when wearing gloves for warmth, but I find work gloves problematic. This includes disposable latex and nitrile.
I now use these http://www.skytecgloves.com/skytec-aria?gi=5cueulqcmrvv7ekb1b8edjq3p3#.VQXyY46kWM8 (http://www.skytecgloves.com/skytec-aria?gi=5cueulqcmrvv7ekb1b8edjq3p3#.VQXyY46kWM8) as the large ones actually fit. They have good grip and the nylon inner is slightly cushioned. I can pick up and screw an M5 nut onto a bolt whilst wearing them so they're good for fairly fine work too. I'm still on my first pair at work, and I've been using them since December so they're long lasting. I now only use disposables(which I get from work like most mechanics) for really dirty jobs, or greasing things.
I thoroughly recommend these or something similar.
