I've only bought it for the TV, so should do the job. I was going to get a flat screen, but it seems they are putting all their new technology into these curved ones. :-\
I would not have a clue about connecting phones etc. Why would anyone want to connect a phone to the TV anyway? Phones for phoning, TV's for watching. :y

Dead handy for watching you tube videos on a big screen, so much easier to navigate on your phone and cast it to the tv :y

Yep. It`s only currently Netflix & Amazon Prime that are broadcasting in 4k (plus other incidental services :-X)

£500 seems a reasonable amount to pay for the latest technology. :)

ordered a (uhd) 4k tv myself a few days ago, £699 Samsung nothing fancy just something for the bedroom to replace the 40" HD TV. Link (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-48-Inch-Widescreen-Television-Freeview/dp/B00VEHBOCG/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1445453290&sr=8-8&keywords=48+uhd+tv)

I was under the impression that 4K and UHD were different animals.

Just had a Google, they are virtually the same. Doubt the average viewer could tell the difference.

Yeah its not exactly the same as true 4k but its a far cry better than 1080p :y

Oh dear.
Nothing is broadcast at 4k yet from the mainstream suppliers. 4k is a complete waste of money. It doesn't even look that impressive compared to 1080p on an average sized (say 60") screen. Get north of 90" and charge people £15 for a couple of hours viewing, and it might be worth it. Oh wait......... Cinema's have been doing that for Donkeys!
Curved screens????? What a load of shite! They will be abandoning that soon, I'll bet my bottom dollar on it.

Ordered it on-line yesterday from Appliance Electronics at about 3.00PM, and was told it would arrive today. Hmm, I thought, I won't hold my breath, however I had a phone call at 7.00PM to say it was on its way and the driver would phone 30 mins before delivery. He did, it arrived at 4.00pm, driver and mate assembled it, checked that it worked, and we watched nice TV this evening. Very impressed with their service. :y :y :y
