Title: 2.2dti life expectancy.

What sort of miles do these engines go to before becoming a problem.

Depends how keen you are to change the oil regularly.

The engine itself isn't too problematic, but pump failure is common, and will write off the car.

Needs intake cleaning out regularly.

Ive seen a few make 300,000 + miles  :) There does seem to be an alarming number of older Vauxhall dti in general that have failed fuel pumps  :(

The trick with pump life is fitting the priming bulbs with built in 1 way valves as all to often, the pump fails after filter change or due to leaking bleed off pipes or injector seals.

my 2.2 gave up at 130k
