Title: DIY SOS
Post by: STEMO on 03 August 2016, 08:17:33
I have recently painted the walls and ceilings along the hallway, up the stairs and along the landing. I quite like this job, so it was no problem.
However, I now have to gloss seven doors and frames, miles of dado and skirting and, worse of all, the dreaded bannisters. I have given it several coats of looking at but, as of yet, no actual painting has occurred.
Wifey reckons if I ring Nick Knowles and tell him I have a particularly acute case of CBA, he may arrange for the team to turn up and do it in a day. What d'yer reckon?

A bonus for the ladies would be getting to see my handsome facade on telly.  :)

Simple solution.....

Develop a bad back or whatever which stops you painting until the school hols are over....
Then when wifey is back to school......get someone in to do it for you while shes not around  :y :)

Job jobed  :D

Steve......have you considered Age Concern? :)

This organisation was set up to help the elderly and infirm, and also the bone idle, with jobs about the house. :)

I hope this information helps.

People seem to think I just sit around all day  ::)  If you saw the difference in this house since we moved in three short months ago..... ::)
I reckon I have saved thousands by diy'ing it all. I'm waiting for a delivery of high gloss doors and drawer fronts for the kitchen for my next job....that's the plan for getting out of glossing  ;D

Oh, and BTW Al, I'm retired too.  :)

I'm sure that STMO knows we are only kidding.

I'm sure he works as hard as any other scouser. :)
