ABSOLUTELY NOT ! ;D
I'm catching up with paperwork in my little home office, with a beer front of me.
Spag Boll for dinner this evening, will it be the Argie Malbec or the Italian Primitivo ? :y

Surely going without alcohol can't be healthy. :)
-
I usually end up with too much blood in my alcohol stream :)

Nope! 2 boxes of Tuborg in the fridge and Saturday night is music night if we don`t go out, Kerrang radio and a mix of you tube videos :y

Err? ??? No! Why? ;) ;)
It takes will (or won't) power to do a dry week these days :-[
-
Why no drinkie. Me no understandie.
Whilst, contrary to popular belief, I could easily give up alcohol for a month*, whats the point? Or is it one of those stupid charity things?
*I probably haven't had a drink since I returned from hols. But when I do, I do tend to make it worthwhile ::)

This lady always gives me a laugh with her blunt attitude

Can't remember the last time I had an alcoholic drink :-\
-
Been doing it for the last 16 years - I can be just as much of a dick without alchohol ;D ;D
-
Can't see the point myself...... sitting here with a large VAT, and also looking forward to spag-bol for tea. ;D
-
The idea is to raise funds for McMillan cancer support.
I tend to have a large infusion of inclahol of a Saturday which annoys SWMBO (Good enough reason to do it I hear you say?) ;D
Driving early doors to see Junior ER do the half marathon, so not getting wellied as per usual :y

I remember drinking Tuborg in the early to mid seventies when I were a fresh faced schoolboy ;D

Actually, I have a long drive in mornin' to see daughter. Might stop early. Just one bottle of Malbec tonight ;)

Don't get me wrong here - I have every admiration for McMillan and the things they do....... god knows I do, as the misses and myself have relied on their support and advice over the last 6 months since diagnosis and subsequent treatment. That sentiment also goes to a lot of other charities, of which I'm happy to put my hand in my pocket to help support the work they do.
The means of raising money, or giving up something to achieve that is questionable and personal. Each to their own I say, cheers, mines a pint!

Had a beer with dinner on Friday, and was going to have one with dinner at work today. Plan was on track until I got to Security...
Apparently stubbies are 150ml too big :D

One of a handful of worthwhile charities IMHO :y
However, they really pissed me off a couple of years back when they refused to take a, admittedly modest, one-off donation from me, instead hard pushing for a £3 a month direct debit. So they ended up with nothing.

I don't mind coughing up to charity now and again, but I refuse to do that. It sounds ok at first, but then it carries on forever and in the future you wonder what that £3 is that disappears from your bank account. Nope :(

Its not even that for me, I want to remain anonymous when I give. Not out of some self righteous idealism, but because they are like parasites, constantly pestering for that £3 to be £5 and so on.

After a rather heavy night on Friday in Paris (I blame my old rugby buddies who led me astray) I have decided to join you in taking a month off the sauce.
It should do me a lot of good :y

Agree.... I used to give £6/month to RSPCA via DD .... then one evening I got a phone call asking me if I would up the amount to £10/month....they wrote to me the next month telling me the DD had failed and they haven't had a penny since...its a shame really as I think they are a good cause.....but if they are going to be greedy bastewards then that's their fault.
I now give £8 odd a month to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, another worthy cause imo, via their lottery

First Saturday in November, let the drinking begin ;D :y :y :y

Street "chuggers" really p*ss me off >:( I give to numerous charities but I like to decide how much and when I donate.

When our cat disappeared (pre-chipping), we contacted them and gave them a photo, and they promised to let us know if she was brought in.

2 weeks later a lady contacted us (via our note in the newsagents window) to tell us that on the exact same day that we asked them, she'd taken our cat in, as she'd been found in distress in her garden.
RSPCA had her up for adoption.
She'd had a massive stroke and couldn't actually stand up properly. We had to have her put down 3 weeks later.
RSPCA had declared her fit for adoption.
