Title: Having OOF Techie issues
Post by: zirk on 31 October 2016, 17:02:08
Is it just me, or anyone else.

Cannot reply to topics, it just rejects me, hit post, and it sends me of to another new blank Start New Topic Page.

Been like all day, was fine up untill last night.

If I use a outside UK IP (VPN) works fine.

Just done loads of test in Test Zone, seems to be a UK ISP issue (EE UK) everything esle on PC is fine.,

Any pointers?  :(

So Far, my end have -

Cleaned Cookies, tidy up scan, Re Boot.
Reset Router.
Reset the EE UK IP address, its not Static, its assigned so will still fall within a given range.

still the same issue, as said works fine if I VPN it from Out Side the UK

Just a bit more info, if I use "Quick Reply" over normal it seems to work

Zirk - let me rummage through the router routing tables and load balancer again - IP range is close enough to a work one that I might have typo'd when recreating a load of stuff following a firmware upgrade a couple of weeks ago, and the load balancer issue yesterday.

That said, if it was one of those issues, I'd expect it to never work.

Have you tried another device?

I have an Evil Everywhere phone, and will try that if/when I can be arsed to get out of the bath ;D

Yep, all works fine on Voda, so I reckon must be a IP Range issue.

Nothing 149.0.0.0/8 in configs this end.

Comes in from Zen Internet on wan1
Routed to routed IP vlan
Through f/w
Through L2 (only) switch
Through to relevant hypervisor
Through hypervisor virtual switch
Through to VM holding OOF's webserver

From webserver
Through hypervisor virtual switch
To L2 switch
Through f/w
Routed from routed vlan to load balancer
Sent out via wan1 towards Zen Internet

Nowhere in there is anything I can see that would drop/redirect traffic to/from 149.0.0.0/8.

What are you getting when it fails? The Post button fails to respond? The page times out?  A webserver generated error message (like 404 or 501)?

Not that you're direct traffic would cause you're IP to go between the webserver and the database servers, but no IP level blocking their either.

Your problematic range is not in the SMF banned list.

Ok, no errors or timeout, if I try and Post Reply, Modify or Quote, thats all fine lets me type etc, as soon as I hit Post, it redirects me to a Blank Start New Topic on the same Board Im on.

ie - http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?action=post;board=9.0

strange thing is, I tried using Quick Reply and it lets me do that.

Quick Reply used on EE 149.254.YYY.YYY, and checked, no Parental On.

Only lets me do a Quick Reply if no one else has posted before I reply, ie get the Red Banner, then it doesn't work same issue.

If I then leave the Thread and come back I can do  a Quick Reply.

Hmmm, I reckon you're either getting proxied or isp filtered.

I have a theory, but will take a day or so to set the config back up, as I need to dash now
