Am I the only one who thinks the BBC should hang it's head in shame for putting out this blatant propaganda?
Talk about being impartial. :-\
-
We're gonna get this shit all of the time until enough people grow the balls to say 'enough'. Until that time, I shall continue to ignore it.
-
The Millwall fans said enough, and boo'd the Muppets kneeling,, then the leftie press have said the fans are racist... Me thinks all footballist's that knee are going to get boo'd when fans go back.. Good on the fans

It’s shameful, blatant bias.

If we disagree, or have a different point of view, then we are racist.
Apparently we should all agree with BLM, and nod along with all they say.

Ok, I disagree..guess I'm racist. Do I care? Do I f**k.

The days of the BBC providing a service for the British people that is balanced, objective and fair, are long gone.
It has lost it's way. :-\
-
When it was announced that our government was paying for French police to patrol their side of the channel and providing them with drones, one person of colour type chappie came on and said that this was unacceptable because the immigrants would now have to find alternative, and more dangerous, routes. That's not our fault, mate, we're not the ones breaking the law.

But I wasn't till BLM came along.

BLM like to examine everything through the 'lens of race'. They seek and find racism everywhere, often where it does not exist. Martin Luther King must be turning in his grave.
This 'race baiting' so enjoyed by black people with a victim complex, and trendy white London liberals, could end in a race war. :-\
-
Fatty French is a 'race-baiter'.... she should have said no.
-
The vid said that the other two episodes of the Vicar Of Dibley would have
lectures sermons as well, so I expect climate, Brexit or maybe trans rights will be covered in those. ::)
I won't be watching any of them. Thanks for the heads up M'Lud. :y
-
As most with common sense have asked the leftie MPs of colour, why doesn't your community stop stabbing each other, and step forward to stop it, or even if you think the police are racist, then get more people of colour to join..
That's racist,, David LammyMp,, is a great baiter as is Dawn Butler, ..
Think it was lammy who said prison is racist, because 20% of inmates were coloured, yet only make up 3% of the population,, to which the reply was they must commit more crime..

Its the new McCarthyism. Our youth who arent aware of such things are heading into very dangerous territory.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that.
It stems from the top of the education system imo. Sometime in the 60,s the hard left started subtly hijacking it, and have continued ever since.
They set the programme for what was taught in universities and then secondary schools, and now primary schools. I doubt any teacher these days could do anything about it, if they wanted to.
One tried in a small way at Eton recently, and was sacked. Apparently Eton is currently festooned with rainbow banners and BLM insignia !
There is no choice or discussion in the matter. The diversity agenda must be fully signed up to or peoples lives and careers will be ruined, because the perception is that if someone isnt fully on board they then have to be a vile racist / homophobe / xenophobe etc.
The result is that we now produced a couple of generations of people who have swallowed what they have been taught and have this as their core values.
These people now hold the levers of power (regardless of who is elected to Govt.) in education, law enforcement, the Media, the Civil Service and most other areas of importance.
Its difficult to see a way out of it tbh. Once my generation are dead and gone, it will be difficult to imagine a country of free thinking objective people ever being in the majority again in the future.
Its not that long ago we used to mock and scorn and mock Harriet Harperson for her ludicrous ultra feminism. These days she would seem moderate and reasonable in comparison to whats currently happening. And therein lies the problem. Weve had 50 years of mission creep and there is no sign of it ever stopping.
Im glad Im not growing up in todays world. By the time the inevitable results of all this hit them, it will be far too late for them to begin to realise what they did, and remember a way out of it.
Depressed ? Me ? Nah, Im happy as fook today. ;D
-
Broadly speaking, with BLM in Dibley, the BBC is using it's educated left wing trendy liberal agenda to 'educate' the plebs and lower orders on the dangers of racism.
They believe they are there to to help the 'culturally underdeveloped', albeit in a very patronising and condescending way. :-\

Yep.....there is no middle ground allowed. You either swallow the bilge put out by BLM completely and with total obedience, or you are a racist. No ifs......no buts.

BLM is just one aspect of it though. In its various forms its spreading like poison ivy.

I see that Roald Dahl,s family feel the need to apologise for some anti- semitic remarks he made. He died in 1994. He's gone, get over it.

You may well be part of the 'culturally underdeveloped' the woke liberals are trying to reach. ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
Racist, sexist, homophobic, ageist, xenophobic........ my CV.
Guess I won't be getting a job with the BBC. ::)
-
Wouldn't watch it anyway its had its day years ago, this has certainly made it a definite not to watch with the BLM boll ocks.
-
Never could stand the bia,tich.

If she were still married to Lenny Henry, he would take her wokeness and smack her over the head with it...
This year keeps getting more and more Batshit crazy ???
-
He is more woke than she is. The world realised a long time ago that he is as funny as herpes, but he has a new TV career now just been very woke in front of the cameras.
-
Just don't watch the programme .
It passed as funny back in it's day but will be a poor pastiche of it's former self , be warned !
Many , if not all ::), of the original genuinly humerous actors are dead .
With it's utterly banal subject matter being brazenly broadcast ,especially ay such a time , I'll ensure that I take the nap instead of the knee ......
Let the viewing figures speak for you all .
opps the BBC , it's a egotistical , overfunded and parasitic dinosaur .

I wished I'd kicked him in the balls when he blocked my view whilst dancing like Pinocchio at a Rolling Stones gig at Twickenham in '03 .... >:(

Don't agree with any of this take the knee Boll ocks , all started by a drugged up ex con resisting arrest what shite. , should have done what was asked of him stupid bastard would have saved a lot of rubbish being promoted.
-
Lots of very strong opinions there. :o
I agree with them all ;D

Racism is not dead, but it is on life support — kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as 'racists'.

I agree..... and last time I looked this chappie was black.
BLM will appeal to black people who wallow in their own victim mentality as they bang on about slavery. There are no 'anti black' laws either here or across the pond.

But the BBC will never say this, instead trying to give the impression that good old George is angelic.
-
Technically, I think taking a knee protest started with the NFL (Colin Kaepernick). George Floyd was much later.
-
I see Russell Brand is, er, ReBranding... ::)

As a corpse hopefully. I fickin detest that hideous little creature.

Not hot enough I fear.. boiling oil would be better and Chuck Lenny and Dawn in with the snivelling little bar#,ard. George has a lot to answer for too, may he burn forever.
-
The first ten minute Dibley is on in a mo. Don't forget not to watch it.

Your not wrong. Years ago you could see superb acting on it. Jean Alexander as Hilda Ogden for example.
nowadays its utter drivel.

That description could be applied to the tellybox news... ::)

Millwall v QPR, kick off 7:45. Not really interested, but I'll watch just before kick off to see if those naughty Millwall supporters have learned the error of their ways and don't boo the kneeling to the god of wokeness.
BBC4
-
I hope they give them a double dose of booing👍
-
Hmm..not BBC4...sky.

No booing tonight, cheering instead. The stewards were armed ;D

One customer I took back to that area said "Old Kent Rd, where even the rats have knives" as I turned off.
-
I believe Millwall have agreed to stop the submissive 'take the knee' George Floyd tribute.
I think they now all hold hands instead........like a bunch of gay boys. :)

Yoy know we have disappeared down the rabbit hole, when David Lammy, of all people, gers "cancelled" for racism. :o :o
His crime was to praise Churchill on social media. The mental left were outraged that he should sing the praises of the worst racist of the 1940,s who was guilty of genocide apparently.
You could not make this shit up ! ::)

I wasnt quite 6 years old, but I can still remember it. Actually one of my earliest memories.

Nice link B52! Quite moving actually. :'(

I remember all that only too well as I was 12 at the time. It was a very sad moment and marked the passing of more than Winston. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
May we never forget that great man :y :y :y

Many young 'woke' people want him erased from history. Apparently he is responsible for everything from genocide to racism, and was a big believer in eugenics and the forced sterilisation of women considered to be of 'feeble mind' and 'questionable morals'
I would say he was simply a man of his time, much like the slave traders 200 years before him, who were probably considered successful businessmen rather than evil white oppressors.
Only George Floyd was without flaws. :) May I suggest a statue for the great man. :)

In my experience I have not found that with many,, many, "young people" Opti, as a great many of them do understand what he did for this Country and the free World. Thank God from schools, through the media, like books, films TV documentaries, to university he is still widely discussed in positive terms. He had his well known flaws, but what he actually achieved as a man for his time is still admired globally. ;)
In two hundred years time people will still know of him and admire what he did as we do with Nelson, Wellington etc., who actually did not achieve what Winston did. ;)
-
In my experience Lizzie most young people have very little interest in history. Young people tend to live in moment.....which is both good and bad.
I'd wager that if you showed a picture of 'Winnie' and a picture of Beyonce (or any other celeb) to 100 14/15 year olds the vast majority would have no idea who Churchill was.
The 'woke' university kids may recognise him slightly more but generally not in a positive way. :)
That's life, I suppose.

That is not my experience. But the current generation are no different to our generation. How many kids in the 1960's were interested in anything but the current pop scene, girls (in the case of the boys) and boys, with hair, make up and the latest fashions, in the case of us girls. Indeed everything before "our time" was very old, grey, drab, boring and square!
With advancing age Opti we can all become cynical of the modern generation, but they will prove to be little different from us when they mature and take up fully the reigns and responsibility of life. What our generation should be doing now is just hoping the young will start to correct and resolve the issues we have left during our lives but that will take time and new attitudes about what is really important.
As you say, "that's life" ;)

No, not quite. You was making the statement they have little to no interest. Although I recognise that the young are no different to as we were, they actually are more "World Aware" with the magic of the internet that now brings into their homes more facts about history, and everything else. They also have universal television, documentaries and the ability to see the war films that are still popular. More of them study hard at school, then college, and progress to uni, with large numbers studying history and politics as I did. Certainly us girls were once not meant to do that, but now far more young females now enter the "serious" subjects as also found out at uni with 60% of the years occupied by women.
So from that point of view, today's youngsters are actually in higher numbers, and actively involved in higher studies than ever before, and of course they have to be in our Country's IT and advanced, in everything, age. Yes, in the ways I stated they are little different to how we were at their ages, but now they aim higher and in greater numbers. To simply rule the younger generation out and say they have little interest in history, World politics, or anything else is doing them an injustice. The World we have created is far more complicated than it was for us, so from that point of view I am glad I had my childhood when I did! ;)

It is no longer legal for the police to charge a black man with being found in possession of excessively large rubbery lips. ::)
The law is the same for all of us*
With the exception of the extremely wealthy and powerful*
