Exactly who are Jaguar trying to appeal to. :)

Whilst the E- Type was once described as the most beautiful car ever made ( which I agree with 100 percent) who or what designed this  monstrosity?

It's OK, TB.

The old Jags like your XJ and my XFR are driven by people with hairy swinging balls.

The new cars will probably be driven by men who have an unhealthy interest in boys bottoms. ::)

Copy nothing is an embarrassing slogan for a car that looks like Saab's Aero-X of 20 years ago crashed through venetian blinds.

Although it is less embarrassing than the advert ::)

Didn't Sir William Lyons of old Jag fame say a Jaguar should be 'a copy of nothing' ::)

Very similar almost a copy. 8)

Thing is, Jaguar hope to attract young woke progressives to replace the ' neanderthal old duffers'

Problem is, the cars will start from £100,000+ and generally speaking there are not large numbers of young people who have that kind of money.

Many are still living at home because they can't afford to get on the property ladder......or pay £3000 each month to rent a one room shithole in London. :)

And the advert itself has similarities to the 1984 Apple Macintosh advert, which featured weirdly dressed people and a woman weilding a slegde hammer.  ::)  Jaguar has alienated it's audience now, which could prove a costly mistake. You may have noticed that the leaping Jaguar is coming from the opposite direction on the new emblem, which could imply that he's now batting for the other side.  :)

Judging by the reaction on here I reckon they are absolutely right!, ;D ;D

As a female of a certain age, I love it!  Looks really futuristic and nothing like the Jags of yesterday, like my favourite, the MK10.
It does appeal to me, especially as it has the anti-male groping device separating the front seats; brilliant!! ;D ;D >:D
As for who can afford it; well there are plenty of wealthy young people and maybe older ones, of both genders who will also love it and want one, like now! :D ;)

I think you’re right.  :y  I read a review where the Jaguar CEO said he loved the new names and was going to adopt them (tongue in cheek obviously). As previously mentioned by Sir Tig, he mentioned Faguar for the gays and Draguar for the cross dressers, so he’s clearly happy the way things are going.
