that i can see.
Its a 3.2 (special) normally means forces....but
Its got full leather and still has original stereo
Its an auto
its got cdx wheels and is badged as a cdx.
And as a 3.2, obviously not your normal police car...anyone have any thoughts what it may have been used for>?
-
Well most of the diplomatic cars i've seen have the original head unit in them, they usually run on 15" or 16" wheels and have an extra aerial fitted either on the rear wing or glass mounted. Sometimes there are a few buttons mounted around the armrest area and a pair of blues hidden behind the grill.

Not ex plod as it has no calibrated speedo, and has bose system fitted.I think special has been added to get more intrest to be honest. Nice example though. :y

aye but cdx badges ;D

yes....but no 3.2 CDX!
3.2 were MV6 or Elite only
Something doesn't add up

Hmmm mine came with a service history from government cars and as you say, glass mounted phone aerial and holes in arm rest where something was attached also 3 reading lights mounted above passenger seats, aint found any blues though, have to have a poke around tomorrow.

its got cruise, a sunroof, spoiler, heated rear seats....
So it is virtually an Elite
Only thing missing is the wheels
-
and even the rear lip spoiler..
-
had just corrected
certainly a weird one
-
actually those wheels do look bigger than 16"
well tyres look smaller anyway
-
may be a demo car
vauxhall managers
Something like that perhaps

there 16"`s exact same alloys swmbo has..
-
Its not clear in the pics, but unsure if there is a sunroof or not....
-
aye your right
there 16"`s exact same alloys swmbo has..
lol
-
the 3rd you almost can pick out a sunroof, or read the description ;)
-
CDX have sunroof's anyway though

Look at it straight on, i dont think it has a sunroof, ... :-/
-
Well SVO build to the customers requirement so for example the customer may want a car that looks completely standard from the outside so badging, alloy wheels etc could stay on to keep the standard look.
Note that the Police forces are not the only 'customers'
Police Demo car here:-

undecided on sunroof or not...
So is that rear view mirror auto dimming or not ;D
and no mention of memoy seats
-
i think the CDX wheels have a deceiving look to them, appearing larger than they really are
also i notice the lip spoiler isnt the standard prodrive one you'd find on the 2.2 sport, MV6 or Elite, it looks more like the Irmscher one
could it have been an ex plod that the current owner has spent money on trying to restore to original?
head unit doesnt look like the familiar ones either, loads of square buttons accross the middle

CCRT2008, Not a very common option in the UK, but I guess the vehicles owner would need the phone function
-
Sorry to revive a thrread that's almost 6 years old :o, but I may have finally found an answer about this car.
Looks like this is going to be a bit late for the OP, as I just checked the DVLA and it doesn't look to be on the road any more. :(
KN51 WVW was a very very special omega, and if it has been scrapped, you're going to be kicking yourself now. It was previously owned by non-other than...
Prince Charles!!!
That would explain all the extras, special equipment etc...
Don't believe me? Try this link to MSN, or type Prince Charles Omega into google and look at the images:

If it still exists, it's probably worth a few quid.
-
Wasn't this car, or one very similar up for sale recently :-\
Again a 3.2 Cdx estate with memory leather in dark green metallic...
-
OP link to exhausts...........?????
-
Thats all I got as well, exhausts. I know the royal family have had many vauxhalls in the past and have seen pictures on tv of Charles driving a green Omega estate. We did have in ABS a special Viceroy estate built for the Queen. It had lino in the load bay for the corgi,s. It was finished in a special green that a lot of the royal cars have previously been painted in

That be a saloon by the looks... Wonder if the estate I recall was part of the same order :-\
-
OP link to exhausts...........?????
not surprising considering it as a 2007 date on the thread!!!
-
If it was for the Royals, probably Armoured, and they through a 3.2 in there to compensate for the extra weight. :-\
Fairly sure Ablitz use to mentioned seeing a green CDX badged up as a 3.2 on his travels near him. :y
