Well SVO build to the customers requirement so for example the customer may want a car that looks completely standard from the outside so badging, alloy wheels etc could stay on to keep the standard look.

Note that the Police forces are not the only 'customers'

i think the CDX wheels have a deceiving look to them, appearing larger than they really are

also i notice the lip spoiler isnt the standard prodrive one you'd find on the 2.2 sport, MV6 or Elite, it looks more like the Irmscher one

could it have been an ex plod that the current owner has spent money on trying to restore to original?

head unit doesnt look like the familiar ones either, loads of square buttons accross the middle

CCRT2008, Not a very common option in the UK, but I guess the vehicles owner would need the phone function

Sorry to revive a thrread that's almost 6 years old  :o, but I may have finally found an answer about this car.
Looks like this is going to be a bit late for the OP, as I just checked the DVLA and it doesn't look to be on the road any more. :(

KN51 WVW was a very very special omega, and if it has been scrapped, you're going to be kicking yourself now.  It was previously owned by non-other than...

Prince Charles!!!

That would explain all the extras, special equipment etc...
Don't believe me?  Try this link to MSN, or type Prince Charles Omega into google and look at the images:

If it still exists, it's probably worth a few quid.

Thats all I got as well, exhausts. I know the royal family have had many vauxhalls in the past and have seen pictures on tv of Charles driving a green Omega estate. We did have in ABS a special Viceroy estate built for the Queen. It had lino in the load bay for the corgi,s. It was finished in a special green that a lot of the royal cars have previously been painted in

If it was for the Royals, probably Armoured, and they through a 3.2 in there to compensate  for the extra weight.  :-\

Fairly sure Ablitz use to mentioned seeing a green CDX badged up as a 3.2 on his travels near him.  :y
