ABS modulator by the look of it  (& what's on top of it  ;))

I bet the battery is in the boot (fairly common thing to do), ABS modulator in it's place as Andy says.
Steering box changed to a rack IIRC, brakes obviously re-plumbed, all the wiring looms adjusted to suit new locations (and very well, too)..

I love the CF rocker covers. Wonder if I could get a set made for the FE..

Some links here allegedly show some of the original parts from the abandoned gm v8 omega project.

IMO the exhaust manifolds hold the clues as to why v8 omega was binned. There simply isn't room routed the conventional way. Although Elvin(?) found a way routing the drivers side manifold forward then down using the space by the coolant transfer pipe on the v6's.

Not sure if I read it correctly (sleep deprived again) but did one post suggest the car was in Halstead Essex ?
If so, I must ask around as its only 2 miles away. :-\

Looking at those pics, the header/steering box interference issue doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as on the left hand drive cars. Although the pic is not detailed enough tbh. Hmmm...

The two things I do know are that everything – people included – is still in one piece, and that the fastest thing anyone at evo has ever driven is an Opel Omega. Who’d have thought it?

Read the article on the RATs Omega when I first joined on here, very interesting  ::)

Mind you I bet it's a pig to service / work on with that limited amount of space.

Saving grace would be showing your rear (car) as you leave some expensive exotic cars behind on the motorway though  :y
