Omega General Help / Heater bypass valve replacement.
« on: 26 May 2016, 14:52:29 »
Just a tip for everyone, If you don't have pliers with a long handle, forget about trying to change this thing in a 2.5 v6.
After a 30 min of trying to reach this thing i had two choises: Get it fixed by a mechanic or cutting a piece of the metal frame around so you can actually grasp this thing.
I chose the first option.  >:(

I need to have my fan working for 4 days before i get it fixed.
The fuse was okay so the sensor must be broken.

Is there a fan motor test thing somewhere or do i need to just take the plug off and get two wires and just push them in?

The fan never "kicked in yo" and the temps are near 100 celcius.
I need to car tomorrow. I have no problem if i have to open the hood and pull the wires out every time i stop the car. As long as it doesn't fry the headgasket for the next 4 days.

Omega General Help / Pulling left and right
« on: 24 April 2016, 13:14:30 »
My omega has developed a new problem.
It pulls to the left and pulls to the right.

I'm constantly having to battle steering left when it's pulling right and suddenly it pulls to the left and i have to steer to the right to balance it out..

Is this a common issue or do i have a broken ball joint or what?

They tire shop said that the inner side of the tyre is worn so the alligment is off.
Could this be an alligment issue or is there something worse underneath?

Omega General Help / Antennae broke off.
« on: 16 April 2016, 19:27:04 »
I was going to a car wash and the antennae was just spinning in place. The doors were opening and i panicked and ripped the whole thing off by the roots.
Now all i have is that plastic black rubber thing sticking out the roof and the antennae in my hand.

How do i put my antennae back? I want a easy simple 5 minute solution because i'm not motivated enough to start ripping off the roof lining and bolting off the whole thing because the car isn't even on the road atm.

It's a 2000 omega B wagon btw.

Omega Gallery / Opel omena winterbeater
« on: 30 November 2015, 16:51:04 »
This is my winterbeater omega.. I pretty much run it hard and fix it as it breaks. So far it has positively surprised me. The v6 seems to have a fair amount of power.
Even though it has 360 000km's to it. It still has lots of punch left.. When i floor it, it really kicks you back to the seat.

Here are some pics:

Summer:

Fresh pics with bad cam:

The jack mount points have the plastic broken.. The clips are no longer there so they fell off.. I'm searching for replacement parts but if i can't find them then i'll just drill and stitch them back with zipties. #BCUZDRIFTSTITCH!

Not too rusty:

Dipstick placement:

Under the hose so a little bit annoying to check the oil levels.. Good thing it doesn't consume oil so no problem!

That oil cap:

The person who thought this was a good idea should be shot. I need a funnel to add oil to the engine..

In case you're wondering what i drive in the summer:

Omega General Help / Gear knob.
« on: 28 November 2015, 13:29:35 »
Well this one is the least of my problems but the cheapest i assume to fix.
2000 Opel omega 2,5L v6 24valve

My gear knob has the leathery part broken and a piece fell off.. Now when i flick open the top plate that has the 12345R on it, the whole handle just falls off cause it's held on by it. (Sliced in half)

How hard is it to replace the gear knob? What kind of gear knobs fit?
