so, this omega although a few chips, odd wee ding and a spot of rust on normal rear arches is I reckon in very good condition. The car has had a few quid spent on to make sure it runs as should. Recent work includes thermostat replacement by taxi al , crank sensor, exhaust, new front wishbones now with poly bushes, brake pads, and a omega owners member well respected  marks dtm ,stripped engine down fixed stem cells and rebuilt engine as it should be. the engine runs great the auto gearbox is fine and overall the car is very nippy. the inside could do with a clean but now getting picky, the car has original radio system but also now fitted with after market dvd and parrot phone system which is great. the car has almost full service history it has mot till start 2016 its is in nocturne blue and does come up very nice. the mileage is just over 104,000 but still getting used the tyres are all good nick, just to mention only needed a gaitor for mot no advisories . I cannot offer warranty etc on car due to age but I can say this is a very good car for the money.if you wish I'm sure mark or taxi al will say hopefully something nice about it now I don't know how to put photos on so maybe I can email them to someone to help I have tried! oh price I would take 600 no less as need towards estate its worth that thanks  :y

Omega General Help / air con leak 2.6 v6
« on: 27 February 2015, 09:51:26 »
so windows steaming up etc  and air con not working so went to kwik fit to get check done, they filled etc with dye and seemed to work ok told to run for a few days then bring back to get re check which I did this morning. after getting shown and chap saying now empty again he cannot 100% state where leak from although he does reckon from a pipe connection at front engine between bumper and radiator on left side looking at engine, there are 2 pipes running along from near side under battery to drivers side then a joint before heading to other side radiator, one of these joins/bends has a jubilee clip which obviously should not have being pressurised so he reckons leaking from there. is there a way of getting this part replaced/sorted? if any easier description of where it is directly underneath the air intake funnel. in front of radiator thanks

Omega General Help / not sure if hg problems now
« on: 16 January 2015, 09:40:24 »
so a few bits happening not sure if related and could do with some help, ok so today had look around car which is 2.6 mv6 fl. I have been having problems with temp guage sitting around the 80-85 when running then rising when sitting then fans on back to where should be 85-90 then after driving for a bit lowers to 80-85.
after school run this morning which is only about 3 miles I look under bonnet and noticed expansion tank level higher it was about 1/2 inch above line, anyway I checked oil dipstick and sitting about 1/2 way I then checked oil cap and it has a bit gunge not a huge amount but some , I then loosened expansion tank and it bubbled a fair bit and rose to almost pouring out , so put cap back on, I also noticed got oil leak right side under the wiring tray so maybe rocker cover but unsure and marks dtm who was kind enough to work on car is tied up at present so is there any members with mechanical knowledge around Milton Keynes please that can give this a look. would appreciate any help provided. :)

Omega General Help / my mv6 temp gauge question
« on: 20 August 2014, 22:44:37 »
so earlier i asked about the temp gauge dropping under where it normally sat. before usually about 85/90 it has done for yonks. anyway it started dropping down to just over 80. i have replaced hbv valve and coolant change and had aircon recharge but still doing it. i came back from a 800 mile trip to ayr yesterday and there and back with aircon on it sat about 80/85 only going up slightly to 90/95 when sat in traffic. the fuel consumption too was better going up as filled with shell and got 33/34 mpg but coming back filled at morrisons and got 30/31 maybe nothing but anyway temp gauge still same coming back,no overheating no puddles etc any ideas as temp gauge 8) maybe lazy?
