« on: 16 March 2014, 21:36:50 »
Right guys and girls,

Tommorow afternoon I am driving a from Bedfordshire to Crawley to collect some grey Leathers for the CDX so if you are on the M25 between 10 and 4 give me a wave  ;D

Can someone just refresh my memory on how I remove various parts of the interior front seats and the rear bench

Thank you  :y

Might be worth changing fuel filter anyway if its been standing for a while.

Yer what i thought of doing im going to nurse it to next month and then give it a service like no other  :y

Hi guys,

Finally sorted out the Knock sensor issues which also turned out to be split rubber joiners on the Vacuum tubing,

I got the code reader out to clear the faults and it drove lovely got it up to frowned upon speeds and the EML came back on i knew straight away it wasnt the knock sensor as it put the engine check light on as this went straight to EML

I took it back to my unit plugged in on the KTS and it is showing

P0170 - Fuel Correction (Bank 1) Malfunction
P0173 - Fuel Correction (Bank 2) Malfunction

Now i know the car was stood a while before my ownership so could it be just a crudded fuel filter or something more serious

Once i reset the light again ive done about 40 miles at various different speeds and it hasnt reappeared as of yet

Right I've checked the magazine and works fine it won't latch in to the cradle but when it does it partially does and stills says magazine so it's not right will I have to dissemble the head unit to try a bodge or shall I just save the bother and look for a replacement

Wool hold back on the insults please! A tad uncalled for being new to the petrol lumps how the hell am I suppose to know!

Regarding your implication of me not be able to turn the pages I may be unwise when it comes to v6 lumps but I have nothing but respect for other people knowledge when it comes to questions.

And no for your smart arse comment I don't own a Haynes manual for it! only the DTi one I had

Good to know I'm well respected on here sorry I asked!

It needs to detect a knock.

Is the alternator fitted correctly, any sign of noisey bearings on the alternator?

I assume the knock sensor wire is routed ok and not trapped and damaged by anything?

So you can't just earth it out?
