Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Rear window won't go up
« on: 11 May 2008, 14:46:06 »
Just went to go out to the beach, wife decides to wind rear o/s window down, now it wont go back up.
It goes up about a quarter of the way then bounces back down again.
Doesn't appear to be anything in the guides/rubbers.
Help and advice please  :(

What to replace my ccr 2006 with?

Can the newer models eg cd30 Mp3, CDR 2005 fit or am I restricted to older models only?

I have replaced my CCR 2006 with a CDR 2005 and all works fine  :y

Thanks Dave, funny thing is I have just come across that explanation on your website  :y
I have seen a few advertised stating that the unit is in "virginized mode" I am guessing that this is the same as divorced mode?

As I understand it this model has to be Tech IIed to the car.
Does anyone know how much a dealer will charge for this or does anyone own a Tech II in Kent that can help me out if I buy one of these head units?

Dave DND will be able to tell you.

Noticed on the way home from work tonight that my cruise has packed up, now I haven't had chance to check the fuse but everything else that is covered by the same fuse seems to be working  :-/
Any ideas?
no specific fuse on 2.2....

will be stalk or one of the pedal switches most likely on that unit.

Cheers TB, what do you mean by no specific fuse?  :-/

I had it on my old Vectra and removed it completely and put a switch blank in the dash.  :y

Nice one thanks Andy  :y
I'll take the feed from the actual wire to the o/s brake light via a 7 way bypass relay  :y

Isn't the relay which fits behind the glovebox cheaper at about £16 or could I not just short the socket terminals?
I am assuming that once this relay or piece of wire is in place that the brake live feed wire to the boot socket becomes live?

.......
6 Stop lights            wire Black / Yellow .......

Just remember though that the brake light feed if fed from this socket is via another trailer brake check 'relay' up front behind the glove box (above driver's feet in earlier cars).

So do you need the relay or can you short two terminals on the socket?
Or splice into feed wire to brake light?
