Omega General Help / Re: Windscreen washer bottle

You may be able to get away without removing the bumper.
When i removed my bottle from a 99' mini-facelift to clean it, I only had to remove the grill and was then able to work the bottle out

Give up smokeing you weak minded individual. Before you die a long and lingering death... you dont like smoking it makes you think you do, thats how it works... Opening the window will make no differance to the stink in the car, dont help him fix it until he gives up. For the cars sake if not his own...

Newbie Welcome Area / Re: cambelt change intervals
« on: 18 January 2009, 00:10:05 »
Just to clarify mine and others comments - originally the vauxhall spec WAS 8 years or 80,000 miles, but after several premature failures it was upgraded to 4 years of 40,000 miles.
Forum advise is 4 years or 40,000 miles or if in ANY doubt replace - costs,  if DIY is ~£150 for parts

Hi everyone, I drive a 2002 2.6v6 omega auto, just wanted to know as to when is the cambelt due on these? i have rung vauxhall and theve told me its 8 years or 80,000, various other mechanics say 40k some say 35k and a few say 80k! iam confused, as ive just bought the car and i dont need the belt snapping. Any help will be appreciated cheers
I've the same engine-spec mig ( one year younger) - stick with 4 years or 40'000 miles -better safe than sorry, sounds glib but in this case it's not - major piece of worry out of mind :y
