You may be able to get away without removing the bumper.
When i removed my bottle from a 99' mini-facelift to clean it, I only had to remove the grill and was then able to work the bottle out

Opening the window will make no differance to the stink in the car, dont help him fix it until he gives up. For the cars sake if not his own...

Just to clarify mine and others comments - originally the vauxhall spec WAS 8 years or 80,000 miles, but after several premature failures it was upgraded to 4 years of 40,000 miles.
Forum advise is 4 years or 40,000 miles or if in ANY doubt replace - costs, if DIY is ~£150 for parts

Hi everyone, I drive a 2002 2.6v6 omega auto, just wanted to know as to when is the cambelt due on these? i have rung vauxhall and theve told me its 8 years or 80,000, various other mechanics say 40k some say 35k and a few say 80k! iam confused, as ive just bought the car and i dont need the belt snapping.
