Cars for Sale & wanted / Re: Any oofer looking to sell?
« on: 14 September 2016, 11:16:50 »
Everything is for sale, if the price is right Al. I don't want to sell mine, but if someone offered enough money.......
Find the Omega you would like, then see if what your prepared to pay for it is the same amount that the owner would sell it for.  ;)

While its pure common sense to drive carefully in supermarket car parks, I get seriously annoyed by people who wander all over the roads (as that's what they are) in these car parks, even when they can see cars are driving straight at them. If they did the same on public highways they would expect to get hit by a vehicle, but apparently none of the rules or common sense which apply on roads and streets, apply in supermarket car parks.

I was listening to Jeremy Whine talking about this yesterday. A bloke called in to say that he couldn't believe the news about Bake off, and had to pull over and stop his car at the side of the road because he was in tears !! GET A FICKIN LIFE YOU SAD BASTID.

His opponent was David Davis. Cameron was seen as a Tory version of Blair, so was chosen to go up against him, but Blair was soon gone and Cameron was a man out of his time. His chosen role had vanished before him.
I have always had a lot of time for Davis, but whether he would have beaten Labour and been a successful PM, we will never know.

Good riddance.  A useless waste of fresh air.  :)
Sadly, the only viable PM at the time, given the options on offer. NOT that that is any compliment!

Agreed. The mistake was the Tories choosing him as leader in the first place.
In fact, he was the best PM since Thatcher, but that's in no way a compliment either. Just a comment on how utterly dire the others were.

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Re: Wanted Coil Pack for 2.6 Omega
« on: 12 September 2016, 14:50:46 »
I bought a Bosch one a few months ago for around £80. If budget is tight, Omegod may well have one from the 2.6 he is breaking.  :y

A tool from Satans toolkit. I would never use one, unless the car didn't have a sump plug. And then I probably wouldn't buy the car in the first place.  :)

Diesel Range Rover ?
Cant understand people not liking the looks of an XJ. I think they are a georgous looking car, which is why the basic lines remained the same for around 40 years, yet still looked better than most of its competitors. Real style and class doesn't date.
We are all different though.

General Discussion Area / Re: Kidney Stones

Many emergency admissions, unbearable agony. Treated with Morphine until it eased of, then sent home. After 2 years a simple ultra sound showed the problem, plus a very manky gallbladder. Attempts to remove the stones from the duct only resulted in a perforated duodenum, which is potentially fatal apparently. 9 days of nil by mouth followed, when they said they would have another go in a week or so.
At that point we went private. All was sorted in a few days.  ::)
